They only have country acts at the SCF, so that's why I never go during the week. I used to go every year on Saturday to watch the demo derby, but it is just too crowded to make it enjoyable anymore. I haven't been to the fair in 5 years and don't miis it one bit.

I am planning on going this evening,(Friday) to support our granddaughters and the Green High School band that will be performing at 7 pm... We always enjoy seeing and visiting with a lot of people we don't see very often.. We also think it is good to support our young people that participate in a variety of ways...
The food is pretty good also.
You couldn't ask for better weather than we have right now! :12223

No, I am not going. I have been only once or twice in the almost 19 years I have lived here. The last time I attended, I told my wife not to ask me to attend again and so far she hasnt.

Just something about 300 lb. woman in spandex and tube top that make me want to throw up.

Crowd today in my opinion was sparce even for the afternoon.I would have to say the rising prices and the overall economics have taken it's toll.I have noticed this change in the fair here in say the last 10 to 12 years, but I believe it's just about hit rock bottom.Church food booths not even opened that normally were busy and art hall space that was once taken up is now empty.

According to the article in the PDT the other day Eugene Gahm claimed that attendance was up this year over previous years. I guess my wife and I are going out on Saturday. She talked me into going because she has free passes and she wants to see the Demo Derby, so I guess I'll go to make her happy.

I just came from the fair and it was a super nice day out there. The weather was beautiful. It wasnt very crowed at all untill after 8 oclock. They had lots of kiddy rides for my 4 year old compared to last year. They also put alot of benches around them so a person could sit down while the kiddy was riding.

What's he going to say attendance is down? Of course you are going to have a positive response. You cant argue the empty space and the closed food booths.Any person that has attended the fair on a yearly basis for say the last 20 years would say the fair is NOT what it once was.He wont be quoted as saying that either even thought it's the truth.

I heard from a friend that went to the fair daily, that the Sammy Kershaw
concert was not very good, but that Luke Bryan, Craig Morgan and Josh
Gracin's concerts were real good.

Haven't ever been there but have always heard it was the best local fair around, and have been told that they even have clean bathrooms, that's a plus at a County Fair.
