A death row inmate at an Ohio jail has filed a lawsuit claiming he is too fat to be executed. Richard Cooey, 41, is scheduled to die for the 1986 rape and murder of two women. But the 267-pound Cooey says that his bulk makes his veins difficult to find, which could lessen the effect of the anesthetic administrated prior to lethal injection. "All of the experts agree," said public defender Kelly Schneider. "If the first drug doesn't work, the execution is going to be excrucuating."

Well...BOOO HOOOOO!!! Does he think the two women he raped and killed didn't feel any pain???? Why the heck should these kind of people NOT feel the pain of execution??? This just really TICKS me off....

Cry me a river! I hope they have to dig and dig to find the vein and the whole time he hears the cries of the women he was raping and killing !

Not only the victims. What about the suffering of the family members of the two women? To think our judicial system would have pitty on such a scumbag is pathetic.

THESE ARE ALL PRICELESS SUGGESTIONS. WE SHOULD BE ELECTED OFFICIALS, WE'D HAVE THIS COUNTRY RUNNIN SMOOTHER IN NO TIME FLAT.

This is just typical of the corrections now a days. The juvenile system is even worse. The inmates in the juvenile system have committed just as disgusting crimes as many in the adult system. But they continually file grievances and lawsuits for silly things. The inmates today see being locked up as a lottery. They hope something bad will happen to them so they can sue. The staffs at youth facilities are treated like the criminals and are the subject of much abuse. Recently a youth held his urine in his mouth and spit it on a female Officer. Inmates often expose them self to female employees with little or no consequence. There are many fights between gangs. It is just a matter of time until someone is very seriously injured of worse yet killed. I think if most people actually saw how these inmates were living they would be outraged.

Yeah Im outraged that Im not living in a cell with the fear of being stabbed or raped in my mind constantly. Im also jealous that they get high paying jobs to support themselves while in prison.
Look just watch Lockdown on MSNBC. You wont be outraged you will be glad you never committed a crime to have to go to a place like that. As for the urine and stuff you hear about that on the show. You know what happens after they do that? About 10 officers in riot gear go in firing pepper spray and tasers to take out the prisoner. Not something I want to be on the recieving end of.
As for this guy Id do the same thing if I was on death row. Anything to stay alive. What they should do is say ok dont worry no lethal ejection we will just fry your fat butt instead.

Sorry, I have always had veins that are hard to find. You inject in the person's hand or neck. I'd say the neck would be a good place.

Just for precautions, I would stick them in his eyes also.

I know a nurse or two that would be more than happy to start his IV. Hell I wouldn't even charge the state for it.

I agree with chief!!! The juvenile justice system, has no justice included for the victim. It all about these youth that pretty much run the facilities anymore. The officers have absolutely no job security because they will believe an inmate...(oops!! we are supposed to call them youth, not inmates)..before they will believe an officer or other employee who has never been in trouble with the law, shows up for work everyday, and goes above and beyond their job descriptions. The biggest majority of these "youth" will wind up in an adult facility after their release from DYS. Some youth have said that we are to easy on them, why would they not want to come back again and again. Oh well, off topic, I am sorry....just ranting!!!

AND I can say that actual prisons not juvy centers is no place to be. got an uncle doing time in lucasville he has been cut everywhere and he's 32? and looks 60 its no fun ride.
