As anyone ever applied for a gov job where you have to purchase a package for a small fee?
This was a security job with a 100% money back guarantee for the fee.

This was with homeland security at the airport in Columbus along with a few other jobs of this nature and from the info I have gathered it is a legit job.

I have not purchased the package.

I have a friend who was a screener at Columbus Airport for a while. I don't remember anything about a package. I do know I got several letters in the mail that I had to fill out about this "character, trustworthiness, etc..."

It had paper work in it along with help for a test that was to be taken to see if you qualified for the job along with other job openings, pay per hour for each job etc...etc...

Sounded like a scam to me so I did not look into it.

You purchase the "Package". Consists on one booklet contains listing of all Federal jobs, those open and closed. It will list Postal Jobs as well. Has requirements and addresses to mail appls. to. Shows some examples of what to do, forms to fill out. It will list the course to take to secure a 'job'. It is in my opinion a manual of self help information. The 'waranty' is limited, very limited please read it carefully. Want a Government job? Surf the net for them. Net postings will tell you the same information and sometimes even more than other sources list. (Federal Job Listings, Justice Dept. listings, etc.)Ok, Try the Government internet sites first, if these aren't what you want then get the book, but realize once bought it's most likely yours to keep. I knew someone who did this once and wished they hadn't done it in the end. As they said, "it was a waste of good money." Maybe it will help you, who knows. However, as always, Buyer Beware. Good Luck, Dr.d
