I miss Burger Chef.

There was one in Ironton and it was where Peddler's is today.

The Big Chef sandwich was my favorite.

I also have some of the Looney Tunes glasses from there.

I used to collect them.

I also miss The Bluegrass.

I liked the Twin Burger and onion rings there.

I liked Burger Chef as well, and I also started to collect those glasses. I had Tazmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn, and Wiley Coyote. Wish I had kept them.

I liked Borden Burger too that was located a couple of blocks from St. Lawrence Elementary.

I have a Borden Burger glass.

Is that one hamburger stand joint that was located off Park Avenue where it meets 52 and 93 still there? I liked their hamburgers.

Do you mean the dairy bar across the street from Ohio University?

If so, it is there. It is called The Shake Shoppe now.

Also, now that I think of it, the Looney Tunes glasses were from Borden Burger and not Burger Chef.

No Instructor, I had 93 confused with 141 . . . it's been a few years since I've been home. I was talking more towards downtown . . . the joint that TTT just said is now closed.

The Shake Shoppe . . . wasn't that L&J's or something like that? I liked getting soft ice cream cones from there.

Yes, it was L&J's but now is The Shake Shoppe.

I live outside the Ann Arbor area now. I haven't lived in Ironton since I left for college in 1986.

So, you graduated from Ironton in 1986? If so, we were in the same class.
