Mine too!! One of few films to do justice to the book - maybe because it was a TV mini-series and had 6 hrs rather than 2 to cover a sprawling book with many characters.
Lonesome Dove ranks right at the top in all categories on my BEST list.
The Thornbirds is right behind it - a great book made into a superior film - again a mini-series 6 hrs long so there was time to pay attention to the details - and the musical score added is perfect!
