Me and lil' Carbon got ours up today. 11/30.... too wet to go outdoors.

We put ours up the day after Thanksgiving.

My wife always puts up ours on the day after Thanksgiving. I put up the outside lights on Sunday.

Christmas tree is up...Got the inside and outside decorated....

Our tree will be up this week-end..............

Mine was up the Monday before Thanksgiving. Outside lights two weeks prior to that.

Friday after Thanksgiving. Straight out of the box from Walmart pre-lit. Took darn near a six pack.

Your Uncle Ed has his tree up........only thing he has had up in several years...............

My Granddaughter put mine up and decorated it a couple of days before Thanksgiving.

Sorry, I'm a real "bah-humbuger". I do not do a tree or any other kind of decoration - haven't since my kids left home. I do, however, have all my shopping done and mostly wrapped and half already delivered. I'm already tired of the music, and it's only just begun. This is absolutely the "longest" and most irritating/annoying month of the year! Bah-humbug!

Are you supposed to take them down? There use to be a huge house in Jackson, by the old football field that had 8 Christmas Trees in it and they were lit up 24/7 all year long.

Every time I went passed there, I thought maybe they had a member of the family deployed, and were waiting to celebrate Christmas till they returned. After all that time, I decided Santa must live there and has Christmas all year long.

The annual lighting of the tree in the Trailer Park will be this Saturday evening......provided the Mayor can find an extension cord long enuff.........

Mine isn't up yet. I usually wait until closer to Christmas because I try to leave it up through Epiphany.

I agree with MUM! When I did a tree, it was for the benefit of my kids, and lasted roughly from 12/20 to 1/06. - But in my childhood - My mother was a teacher, and we/she did our tree to coordinate with the school Christmas break - UP on the first day out of school; DOWN on the last!
Our house had a walk-out basement at the back and huge windows on the back wall of the living room on the floor above. We put up the tree in front of those windows - then undecorated it; opened the window; and pushed the tree out and down to the ground on New Year's Day! It was a ritual!!
Isn't it funny that, 50+ years later, i remember getting rid of the tree better than I remember putting it up and decorating it?? My kids always called their Grandpa Greene's Christmas Tree a "Charlie Brown tree", - and they were right! My Dad always managed to find a rather sad and pathetic specimen of a tree - and decorated it very sparsely then claimed it was GREAT!
Of course HE made the effort to put up a tree at all then - and I don't now.

mines been up since the week end before Thanksgiving will come down around New Years... my youngest son decorated it for me this year only because I purchased all plastic bulbs and no special ones was placed on it this year...(he is my autistic one) he was worried he'd break a bulb or his nephew would be hurt and we had to have a safe tree so for the first year in 23 years I have a tree without my special ornaments...and we had to place a fiber optic one in our kitchen so he could watch it work..I think he has it figured out... its all in blue white and silver...
