What's the best brand HDTV?

I'm buying one this week, can't decide which kind. Heard I definitely need to have the 1080-120 thing, with 3 or 4 HDMI's.
Someone told me buy a brand that starts with an 'S'... like Samsung, Sony, Sylvania.. i dunno.

I got a Sanyo about a month ago that is 1080 pix. There's another S for you to think about.

I'd go to a website that reviews televisions, no listen to a person or so who owns one (having said that, boy, I sure like my Samsung
)

I have a 32" Sharp and 46" Sony. Not sure I see any difference in the two brands. We have had other Sharp TV's in the past and have had good results with all. Would have bought another when we bought the Sony last winter but couldn't find one.
On a side note... Just hooked up my stereo receiver and Bose speakers to the Sony last weekend. Great sound. Saved a few hundred bucks not buying a surround sound.

Appreciate all the feedback fellas. I'm still searching, online now, of course, but it'd be nice to have BOSE speakers instead of surround sound.

I recently got a 55" LG.
Couldn't be happier.
Got it with free shipping from QVC, 5 "easy payments" of $235.

we have a plasma lg, my wife won. it has everything. it's big screen, and i'll never go to another game live again. it is amazing.

I'll make sure I do. Heck, I've worked OT last few days and haven't had time to look, but I gar-run-tee i'll have one Monday and in plenty of time for next week's NFL Conference title games.

OK, I brought home a SONY Bravia LED 46" that was on sale this week at Sears. I was @ Best Buy and saw a Samsung 46" I liked, but it wasn't in stock, so I went to Walmart, but they didn't have LED LCD 46" so I ended up at Sears.
They had some nice 46" tv's from LG, Panasonic, and Aquos (i believe), but the Sony stood out, plus the original price had $500 knocked off it so I got a really cool stand for it. Very nice picture even for a small-town cable company.

plus 2 Zenith's unused I want to get rid of - a 31" and a 19"
