Heads up. These storms are building from Northern Kentucky back up to Dayton and Indy. The atmosphere is very unstable and I wouldn't be surprised if a tornado spins up somewhere. North and east of Athens the atmosphere is not as prime with a degree of subsidence. Thunderstorms outside of the watch area will be more isolated.

We had some heavy rain, lightning in western Gallia Co. along rt 35 at the Gallia/Jackson Co line.
Tornado watch from 6:45-7:15 or so. Sky looks to be clearing some to the west now. Still hearing some rumbles of thunder and an occasional flash of lightening.

Now a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Pickaway and Ross counties.

Didn't get a single drop of rain up here which is quite amazing. there were t storm cells all around us.

Drove home from Charleston in this. US 52 by South Point had water coming across it like a creek. 13th St. in Ashland by the Speedway, flooded both sides of the road. Some cars were in water clear to their roof. Flatwoods was a nightmare trying to get into town as all the entrances but one was closed by high water

Kantucky, Looking at the build up upstream of you on radar. I hate to say it, but there is more heavy rain on the way overnight.

Jackson is a mess. No school tomorrow. Numerous roads under water. Reported that at least a dozen water rescues performed for people trapped in homes or cars.

SIGH! Grayson Lake was just a hair over summer pool this morning. Yatesville, just a couple feet and now? I don't know how much they got that direction but if it's what we got...(and there's rain forecast the next 7 days) around here, those lakes will be unfishable for a while more. I think I'll head back out east to do me some fishing

You can get down Main Street this morning, but a lot of the streets and roads are still under water. The road behind the Apple Tower washed away. My son's family has all their stuff in a storage unit on Huron Street but that area is still under water, so I don't know if anything can be saved.
