"Lessons of the Legends"

RIO GRANDE, Ohio — "Lessons of the Legends", a presentation designed to enlighten current coaches and inspire those looking to get into the profession, is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m., at Bob Evans Farm Hall on the University of Rio Grande campus.
John McCarthy will be the presenter.
McCarthy is a former coach and athletic director and is currently the commissioner of the National Women's Lacrosse League. He also spent five years as the director of the NAIA's National Basketball Championship.
The presentation will highlight some of the ideas and philosophies of some highly-successful college and prep school coaches, including former UCLA men's basketball coach John Wooden; Gilman Prep football coach Joe Ehrmann; Kenyon College swim coach Jim Steen and Don Meyer, who has had a long coaching career that has included stops at Hamline, David Lipscomb and Northern State.
Admission is free.
