Lance Armstrong admits to doping
Ok so I'm sure we've all heard the news Lance admits doping to Oprah. So what do you think of Lance now? I'll save mine after a few people have answered.

Doesn't surprise me. They all deny it but the evidence doesn't lie.

Which one to consider? That he doped or that he was on Oprah?tigercannon71 wrote:Ok so I'm sure we've all heard the news Lance admits doping to Oprah. So what do you think of Lance now? I'll save mine after a few people have answered.

There's so much of this I am just numb. I really don't care anymore. Besides, it's cycling. I couldn't care less.

We've heard about it for so long it's like background noise. Not only that it's like he last won in what 7 years ago. So at this point it's mute. So the guy doped and hid it for so long it still doesn't take away from the fact he survived cancer and all the work he has done through Livestrong. It's dissapointing, but doesn't change the good he's done.

All them two wheelers where doped up it was just Lance did it better.
Re: Lance Armstrong admits to doping
I agree no big deal these athletes today are all doing PEDS of some kind, then people are amazed they are so much bigger and faster LOL, and then lie when they get caught, so hes no different then the others as far as I'm concerned, but at least he has the nad's to admit it, even if its a little late, some of them never will

I have to agree with TC........It is a classic moral dilemma.......Does the bad that he did outweigh the good that came out of these events or does the good outweigh the bad..........If he does not dope, then he does get famous........He fights and survives cancer dedicating his career to Cnacer Fund raising.......His bad deeds have allowed him to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for cancer research that would not have been there otherwise.................In this case, I believe the good far outweighs the bad............ :12224

Re: Lance Armstrong admits to doping
I did read an interesting little article this morning. Stuart Scott of ESPN is fighting recurring cancer. He was talking about how that is scary to him. He is attacking the effects of chemo by working out a lot. He then mentions that he doesn't care about Lance doping but that he respects him a lot for the inspiration he has given to cancer patients. He says he holds that regard irrespective of whatever fallout Lance may face from the doping admissions.

A lot of athletes in all sports have done the same thing. MLB Hall of Fame did not induct any Hall of Famers this year, and some said it was to send a message about all the drug violations of the past couple decades.
It's to the point that if any athlete breaks any record, the first thing I ask myself is "I wonder what kind of drugs he is on?"

Really though athletes have been taking stuff forever. I don't even think about it unless they have a major change like Bonds. The guy went from 185 and 40-40 man to like 260 and a 70+ homer guy with no speed, plus his head got like 5 sizes bigger. That smacked of roids. Other than that the thought never comes into my mind.
D&C I read that same article. That's why I think people will forgive Armstrong because the good outweighs the bad.
Re: Lance Armstrong admits to doping
have you seen Bonds lately? He looks under 200 and does a lot of bike riding
