Goodbye Caglewis
CAROL ANN GREENE LEWIS, 68, of Ironton, died March 15 at Community Hospice, Ashland. She was a pediatrics nurse at Lawrence County General Hospital, Ironton. Funeral service 4 p.m. Tuesday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home. Private burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Ohio. Visitation after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. http://www.tracybrammerfh.com.
Last night SEOPS lost another one of it's charter members Caglewis. I personally would like to express my deepest sympathies to Carol's family at her passing. I know I don't come on here very often anymore but I thought there might be some who would be interested in the passing of this fine lady. She did the play by play of all the Ironton games for many years and was a very avid supporter of the Cincinnati Bearcats. Carol we will miss you and your play by play. May you and all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace....Amen!
If we could, maybe a Mod would make this a sticky for a couple of days and maybe post this on more than just this forum.

she was a great gal, i'm sorry to hear this. we talked about indian/western books alot. she gave me the paperback ''bury my heart at wounded knee''. that book has been very special as a gift, and has added meaning now.
we here at seops, anfd the osbornes will miss her. she often asked me, how come we don't have old broken down tiger fan lunches anymore.-----------------makes ya think.YTB.

RIP Carol. I'll miss our talks at the SEOPS get togethers, and sharing your recipes with my sister.
Re: Goodbye Caglewis
... my condolences to Caglewis's /Carol's family, friends and all of the Ironton community who's lives she obviously touched over the years ... I only knew of Carol through her play-by-play posts of ALL of the Ironton games - I always was amazed at how anyone could do what she did in keeping the rest of us informed as to the games - every shot/foul/FT/every play ... she was the best ... I am sure that had we met I would have walked away having gained a friend in sports ... rest in peace - those of us here on the site are blessed to have known her through this site/she helped make SEOPS the great site for high school sports in Southern/Southeastern Ohio that it is - we thank you Caglewis/Carol Ann Greene Lewis ... may God bless ...

Re: Goodbye Caglewis
She did an amazing job. She kept this tiger fan who left Ironton for Florida 17 years ago in the loop @ home & work with her impeccable updates.
Amen!
Amen!
Re: Goodbye Caglewis
Shocking news. Sorry to hear about this. Didn't know about it until a poster wanted to know where Ironton's play-by play was the other night. RIP
