I wouldn't say he is the greatest male country singer but he is surely one of the faces on the Mount Rushmore of country music.

I used to like the guy when I was younger until he was NO SHOW for a concert that a band a worked for was to play at. All because he was too drunk to be able to perform. He cost us a good deal of money that day by not appearing. They canceled the entire show less than 2 hours before it was to start. Lost all respect for him after that.

Possum Holler is name of the place where the band I worked for was to play when he was a no show in the summer of 83. Not sure if it the same place or not. There used to be a few places with the same name.

Probably the same place,the one I'm thinking of was on 664 south of Logan,believe it was on a Sunday afternoon but not sure,I don't think George ever played anywhere else around here that I know of,I bet that was the same concert it made pretty big news around here.

Yep, that was the place.

He performed here in Zanesville a couple of years ago. The place holds a little over 1800 people. There were only about 500 people in attendance that Saturday night.
