Answer: 1990 - Gallipolis & Logan in regular season and Athens in playoffs were defeated by St. Francis DeSales and they were all DII @ the time. The playoff game gave coach Bob Jacoby his first of 34 postseason wins as the Stallions head coach until he left after the 2006 season.
(All 3 games ended up 42-0)

It wasn’t when I read it first.

I have never officially heard this as a trivia question but remember that season pretty well. Jackson at Athens that year was covered by ESPN and Marty Exline ran for 303 yards i believe as Athens hideously won that big game. Their prize was facing DeSales in first round of playoffs. I knew they beat Gallia by same score and didn’t remember Logan score but knew they played them so I figured it out.

luke fickle was on that team for desales and running back chad young ran wild
lambert linebacker from logan hit me harder than anyone in all of my years, Copley was running back
Jackson exline,morgan,mapes was a juggernaut at Jackson week 10 and it was beyond cold
bubba Lichtenburg was as good as advertised for Athens

all in all a good year for our league and it was fun competing, everygame was a close one for us except the Jackson game

I am pretty sure it rained a lot that year on Fridays GO BLUE
