Thought it was time for yet another list. This time..
What are your top 5 comedies on the big screen??
Famous people...famous lines...non-stop laughter!!

Mine....

1. Blazing Saddles- Mel Brooks' famous spoof of Westerns. Believe it or not...he did try to get John Wayne for a cameo appearance.

2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail- could be number one as well. Simply hilarious!!

3. Animal House- give John Belushi the role as a party animal and the rest is history.

These are my top 3....now it's your turn. Numbers 4 and 5 a little later as I think someone will name them.

1.) Blazing Saddles
2.) Animal House
3.) Monty Python Holy Grail
4.) Young Frankenstein
5.) It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World

The last one really does not translate well into the 21st century but is iconic to me because of the cast of time period actors who where in it. Though not released until 1963, the film kind of marked the end of 1950's style films.

To finish out my top 5...

4. Grumpy Old Men
5. Young Frankenstein

Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is a classic as is Duck Soup as well as W. C. Fields in the Bank Dick.

A couple of others...Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, Hooper, Cannonball Run, and Grumpier Old Men.

Great picks so far!!
