The sales of rap albums are in steep decline.Sales of rap CDs this year are down 33 percent from 2006,and in 2006,they were off 21 percent.Hip Hop artists blame record industry commercialization of the genre,while music industry analysts say white teens have simply tired of lyrics about the street life,"ho's," and "bling."

A worldwide shortage of tuna caused by overfishing has frantic sushi chefs in Japan experimenting with smoked duck,avocado,and other alternatives.Some chefs are considering replacing tuna with raw horse and deer meat. "it's like American runing out of steak," said sushi chef Tadashi Yamagata.

An authoritative new federal survey found that 29 percent of American men report having 15 or more female sexual partners in a lifetime, compared to 9 percent of women who report having sex with 15 or more men. The number of lifetime sexual partners for men was seven;for women,four.

The Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda,Cal., has demolished its Watergate galley,which depicted the scandal as a partisan "coup" engineered by Nixon's enemies in order to qualify as a recognized part of the National Archives,the Nixon library has created an expanded Watergate wing,with selections from the White House tapes,the Senate's Watergate hearings,and other historical documents.

After a highway or bridge adopts a E-Zpass or other automatic debit system,tolls go up about 30 percent compared to roads and bridges at which motorists still pay tolls with paper money and coins,a new study has found.Economist Amy Finkestein says that people are "less aware" of toll increases when they're automatically deducted and that policymakers know it.
