Re: Sheds
I have usually already found a few by now, but since all the snow has the hills covered i am staying in until i can see the ground... compared to 4-5 years ago when i started shed hunting, there is sooo many people out now looking for them... its almost impossiable to find them anymore! i do good to find 15 a year!

My Nieces Husband found a 9 pointer with a 19" inside Spread the other day, He said it looked like it was probably shot during the 2nd gun season.

Re: Sheds
About the only deer that are losing their headgear this early have an injury. Either wounded by a hunter, hit by a car, infection, etc.
You wont find too many healthy deer shedding right now.

Re: Sheds
My Nieces Husband found a nice one a couple days ago, if the other side matches it would be the biggest 6 point I ever saw.
The one side has a 26" main beam, G1= 5", G2= 8 4/8, H1= 6" and H2= 5 4/8 for a total of 51"
With the inside spread and if the other side matched He would be close to a 120" 6 Pointer
