Hard to believe he took down a deer. I seen one take a Bass out of the water at Cave Run last year.

I seen a young Bald Eagle the fall before last trying it's best to grab a duck that was in the water at Grayson Lake. It went after it five times and each time the duck would (I hate to even say this) duck under the water...finally, it gave up then flew right over my head. It was an immature one that wasn't white headed yet. It came so close over me that I could almost see it's eye balls. It was HUGE! you don't realize just how large they are till you see one flying that close over your head. I know it's wing span was at least seven foot. I hope it gets a little smarter though or it won't be ever getting that white head

I've seen a lot of Osprey's grabbing fish out of the water but never saw an eagle do it

i was out busting firewood when it happened.

I've never seen one nest in a pile of firewood.
