Strippers and white bass were schooling all around us, but we didnt have the right baits or rods for them. I took big bait, tring to catch a big catfish. One guy by the wall was catching alot of them.

Russian River would be fantastic! Its one hour north of San Francisco. Its a great place. You can fish on the Russian River for salmon. Theres a fair amount of fish but I don't know about trout as the water may be a little to warm for them.

Mineral Springs holds some monster Largemouth's.The best time to fish it is at night, the water is so clear they spook during daylight hours.Big black spinner blades is what I have the best luck on.Does Lake White have muskie in it?If so is their any size too them?I caught a 3lb 4oz smallie out of Ohio Brush Creek on Jan. 9th on a minnow.Good forum toread.
Re: favorite place to fish?
I fished Mineral springs alot utill 2 years ago when they ran Robin off. He ran it nice but now they have a moron in charge and I dont go back there anymore. I heard it change hands and will go again this spring. You can catch alot off big bass up there. I was up there with Bigdowg and 2 other guys, and one of them caught a 7 pound bass. He was using a black buzz bait at night.
