It's probably the most Western part of Pike County....The address is Latham but it's way past there.......Most people have'nt heard of it because Longs Retreat is so close(12-15 miles)to it and thats where most people go but if you want some good quiet fishing....It's a good place and a beatuiful scenery....Cabins you can rent,boats,etc...It was always my favorite place to go but have'nt made it there in about 4 years.....

That was a cold rainy day. It was the same day that the big Waco thing happen with David Kerish,<<Spelling<< I think was his name. The lake is Trading house lake just 2 miles from where it all went down. we was fishing and seen the choppers in the storm, and thought it was crazy that the Army was training in a storm. When we were done fishing, and on our way back to Fort Hood we passed a lot of Swat, ATF and cops . So we tuned in on the radio and heard what was going on. We didnt here no gun shots that day but it was thundering and lightening. After we got back and seen where it was we couldnt believe we was so close and didnt see anything.

i know there are probably more 10 pounders in florida and texas, and parts of california. but for good solid bass fishing, beauty, multiple species, weather, i'd move to guntersville in a minute if i could afford to.remember george perry's world record bass , was in fact caught in alabama.
