No luck today, I had 1 bite, but it was raining pretty hard and I missed it. So far this year I have caught 6 trout no bass yet.

Do they stock the trout in the spring where you are fishing

They stocked Lake Alma just outside wellston a few months ago but there still alot in there. Thay stock Adams lake thursday Its by West Union.

I have fished three days in a row now and have yet to have a bite on ANYTHING !!

There is no way i would of had enough patience to do that, its hard enough setting still for 30 minutes to coyote hunt.

Where are you guys Trout fishing at ? I usually wait till they stock Strouds Run or Rose Lake up this way , but would love to get an early jump on the Trout. And do you guys use the Berkley power bait as bait?

They stock Adams lake tomorrow.

How long does it take before you can catch them after it gets stocked?

I was catching them a few mins after they released them last month. LOL!!

I wouldnt think they would bite that soon but I know nothing about trout fishing. I will probably go for the first time this year then

I miss living in Wv where they stocked the creeks every year. It always gave me a reason to get out early in the year before Smallmouth season started.
I used to go over around Charles Town in the North Fork/South Branch of the Potomac and some other tributaries, like Shenandoah etc... Talk about some good times and beautifal landscape.Especially near Seneca Rocks.

I just got back from Adams lake about an hour ago. I got there at 9:00 this morning and there wasn't a soul there. Finally, around 10:00 four people showed up .... then a few more trickled in.
The truck got there at 10:45 and dumped them in. At that time there were 17 people there waiting. I hung around for about 2 hours just watching and when I left there were 21 people there fishing and none of them had had a bite yet.

I left at dark and no one still had anything, I think they fed them LOL!!!!! I did have 2 good bites but was busy getting my 4 year olds line unrapped from her feet both times. No I didnt give a 4 year old a pole with a hook in it I put her a sinker on it and she thinks shes fishing when shes over there casting in and out. I let her reel in anything I catch.

When they put the trout in Lake Alma, they came out hungry. They were biting within the first few mins.
