43 bass today!

My first time fishing this pond this year and I caught 43 bass 6 blue gill and one blue cat. Caught all but 3 bass and 4 blue gill on a worm and caught them 7 on a rooster tail. I couldnt land the only big bass of the day though. I reeled it in all the way to my feet and it spit the worm out at me and took off Not sure how big it was but it was easily a 4-5 pounder. all the other bass that I caught today was around the 1 pound range or under.

Its 15 miles from Big Sam But we never fished it.

It does have some big ones in it, but some guys told me it was full of cut off trees just under the water and you could tear up a boat real quick.

The water was up 2 or 3 feet when we was there. That may be the reason they said not to go there if you didnt know it.

Gas would have to drop , my truck gets a whole 10 miles to the gallon and thats before we hook up the boat.

Give me a shout ahead of time when you think you may be heading my way. By my figuring, San Antonio is about 3 hrs away. Maybe the gas prices will start dropping sometime soon but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO ME AND MY OLDEST SON 1 TIME, WE WERE AT A FAMILY REUNION, IN FINCASTLE , OHIO. AND MY WIFE'S UNCLE HAD A HUGE BASS POND. NOTHING BUT BASS , AND 3 GRASS CARP. MY SON AND I TOOK TURNS CASTING A BORROWED SPINNING RODS, AND A GREEN MEPPS SPINNER, BASICALLY THE SAME AS ROOSTER TAIL. AN IN LIKE 72 MINUTES CAUGHT 46 BASS, RANGING FROM 3/4 POUNDS TO ONES NOT MUCH BIGGER THAN THE SPINNER BAIT. IT WAS AWESOME. I MEAN EVERY CAST, A BASS.
