I saw a pretty nice one about 7:30 Thursday evening. I don't know how many points but it was pretty high and wide.

I cant wait until bow season gets here.

Just a little over a month away, but I probably wont get too serious until the 2nd week of October.

Been seeing a few P&Y's in the Minford area, should be a good year. Seems like there are tons of decent size bucks that made it through last year.

Finished hanging the last of the Treestands tonite, Sat in the last one for about an hour to watch the Wildlife, Saw 21 Deer, A Gazillion Tree rats and a Bunny. The deer herd looks to have rebounded a lil from last years kill off from that dang disease

Hammerdown , Yeah 21 deer seem nice but 18 of them were either does or yearlings, Theres not a high Buck population there, But we do see a few more Bucks around Rut time

It sounds like maybe there are too many head hunters and not enough herd management. ;-)

Actually thats not the case at all, Its in a metro area right out side Athens City limit. We've been hunting there for about 7 years and only killed 2 Bucks, a 12 and a 9, But weve prolly taken 20 doe off there. There was a VERY nice 10 seen there last year ,but during Rut time he was hit by a Truck .

Call Ozzie next time. That's where he gets most of his deer. :)

BOO eats it almost every day. We have eaten 3 mature white tails from the freezer since last fall. 'Bout time to load up again. Makes great chili and spaghetti sauce.
