I just looked online and the water temp at the Greenup Dam is 45 degrees! That's like normal early March or mid-march temps. If the water wasn't so high, I'd say a guy could do pretty good for himself off those rock piles by the beach on the Ohio side

i drive past the dam every morning on my way to work from wheelersburg to south point and this past week i have been seeing a lot of pickup trucks parked on the little side road. Was on my way to work this morn around 15 after 7 and saw a couple of trucks and guys getting out their rods and reels and minnow buckets. its usually a good sign the fish are bitiing when you see those older retired fellers showing up to fish they know whats going on. thinking i might check it out in the morning as long as we dont get too much rain.

Wondering what these warmer water temps will do to the traditional "runs" that some groups make. Of course it is now snowing and temps will be in the teens tonight lol

I'm late to the party, but the sauger bite was outstanding all winter long at the Greenup Dam. There were only a few times that I didn't go and catch my limit.
