I though Id start a thread on Recipes.
A friend of mine gave me this one for deer steak. Its the only way we eat it now, other than jerky.

you need a bottle of Itialian dressing
Jar of Jalapeno slices
Bacon and tooth picks.

Cut meat in 2inch x 2inch pieces
Put in freezer bag with Itialian dresssing over night.
Put a slice or 2 of Jalapeno slices in middle, kinda roll meat and peppers up and wrap with a half piece of bacon. The key is GRILLING,oven cooking this does it no justice.grill on med slow as to not burn the bacon.
Another thing we have also tried was a small marble size piece of cream cheese,as it cooks it melts through.

We had a cook out a few years back and made these. One woman was going on and on about them.I told her you cant even tell its deer meat huh.
She said she hated deer meat,of course I told her to quit eating them then. true story.

Also on Jerky do you....

Slice meat or use the burger.
Hang in your oven or use a Dehydrator.
Store bought mixes or make your own.

I really dont have a recipe. I usually just get the store bought cure and seasoning. Have experimented with several different brands and HiMountain Seasonings that are sold at Cabelas I have found to be the best. Especially the Hickory, although I usually use more than required amounts of the seasoning for more taste. It just depends on what I have easy access to as to whether I use burger and the jerky blaster or slice meat. Usually I use a couple dehydrators when I make it, but I have also used the oven to cook it.

This is a new recipe that I just got this year and everyone else and I have enjoyed it that ate it after I made it.

1/2 soy sauce
1/2 Wor... sauce
2 Tbs of Accent
1 Tbs of salt
2 Tbs of seasoning salt
2/3 teaspoon of garlic powder
2/3 teaspoon of onion powder
2/3 teaspoon of black pepper

This will do 3 lbs of meat and if you make it in the oven it is sapose to be for 1 hour at 350 degrees but I only leave mine in for 45 minutes
