NO MORE FEBRUARY GROUSE SEASON

The state of Ohio in it's usual fashion has ended the February grouse season probably forever and likely will phase it out completely. They waited literally 25 years to do anything and then with one stroke of a broken crayon made this move. As usual they take away but don't give. Many groups have approached them for several years but with no luck for a solution.A line from the great old movie 'Animal House' sums up the State's effort-"It's time for someone to make a really stupid and futile effort" The reply was- "And we're just the guys that can do it!". As usual if it's not deer or turkey it doesnt mean anything. Thanks for nothing Ohio Division of Deer and Turkey.

I used to Grouse hunt quite a bit when I was younger. It's been a few years since I've even seen a grouse around here.
