Robert C. Byrd Dam fishing
Anyone been down to the Byrd or heard how the fishing has been down there this year? Me and a couple friends plan on going to Muskie about a mile below it this evening and was just wondering if they are biting.

Re: Robert C. Byrd Dam fishing
Me and my buddy went fishing Friday and Saturday and caught around 40. Mostly drum but we also caught some stripers, catfish, saugeye, and white bass. Not a bad first weekend of fishing. Saturday night we had to leave at dusk but it seemed like the catfish were hitting hard around 8:30 up until we left on nightcrawlers.
We didn't have the right bait and I knew going into it. It seemed like everywhere in Gallipolis was out of chicken liver so I knew the stripers and cats were hitting. A guy at Wal Mart recommended pork jow so we picked some up. I fished with it for a few hours and got nothing until at dark when it seemed I kept getting robbed. Anyone ever use this stuff and been successful?
