Tough game,Belpre stayed in the game for quite a while but VC was just a little better in the end.Lawhead hit about everything he shot in the 2nd half and Guthrie was a hard stop underneath. The Belpre kids played great and never gave up.They can hold their heads up because they played a very good team tough and gave them all they could handle.Good luck to the Vikings the rest of the way and in the D2 tourney and lets go after Alex tomorrow night the same way.

Sounds like eligibilty issues in your post there sport.
Anyway, back to the game...
Vinton has a lot of good things going for their program. They almost remind me of Belpre back in the 1990's.
Best of luck to the Vikings in the tourney. I hope they can take the next step and add a regional championship to their resume.
Good luck and good health to them.
Re: Vinton Co @ Belpre
Well played and well coached by the Vikings. Didn't give them enough credit. I'll admit when I'm wrong. Good game and Good Luck in the tourney from Belpre. We'll be battling with ''The New STOUTAHOLICS'' in the tourney.

I want to see if anybody else in this thread knows what they are talking about before they comment on whom is eligible.
Minimum eligibility requirement by the state standards you must pass 5 classes....... that would translate to GPA in the 0.67 range. Obviously anyone breathing should be able to meet that requirement.
Re: Vinton Co @ Belpre
Very few folks know this but there is no minimum GPA requirement for eligibility, only pass the 5 credit courses and you are good to go with the OHSAA.
At Belpre, you have to maintain a 2.0. If not, then you set out the first couple of weeks of the next grading period to get your GPA back to 2.0, if you have passed the 5 classes. If you can't get the GPA back to a 2.0 then you are done.
theassassin..not sensitive at all, I get tired of folks on this forum who always bring up the eligibility issue when talking about other schools or players, either openly by naming students, like belprefamily did or with lefthanded comments like yours above..."seems like you never know who Belpre will have playin from game to game."
