Ironton @ Warren, 2/13

Post by WHSwarrior »

Warren comes off a tough loss to Logan that almost certainly relegates them to 4th in the SEOAL North, record of 8-7

Warren hasn't been blown out by any team not coached by Jim Osbourne this year, and I fully expect them to hang around I-town all night. Coach LaFon's team will be ready to roll, I'm sure...

My concern for the Warriors is that they play their biggest game of the year, the home Marietta game, the next day. I know the fans are looking ahead. Will the team?

Yes that is the address but if your planning on going you might want to get there early because were not known for having the biggest gym in the world......

The students begin to flood in at 5:15, 5:30, normally the gym is at 2/3 capacity by 6.

This will be pretty full, as this is our final Friday night home game (and only the third all season), and people want to see what Warren will look like before the faceoff against county rival Marietta.

The ZIP is 45784, if needed.

Does everyone sit on the same side of the gym or do you have a section for the visitors? We are planning on making the trip but if we aren't going to have a seat then I might just stay home. It is a long trip to not have a place to sit.

Both sides are open to sit on you should just probable be there by around 5:25-5:45 to get a good seat. Im not trying to discourage anyone from going.

You will have no trouble finding a seat at 630 in the visitors section.

As for the game, I'm really looking forward to it. Itll be interesting to see how Warren responds to the Logan game. Ironton is 0-2 against Warren since their reentrance to the league...

And if Warren will CLICK, Ironton will be 0-3.

I think that long trips in the SEOAL mess with teams' heads, and Warren has the talent and potential to hang with anybody...the experience factor takes its toll some nights.

Warren will need to click early and then hang tough, a little D in the 4th will go a long way.
Good luck, Warriors

This will be a very tough game for the road team, Ironton. Good Luck boys. Win or lose, play hard and lets wrap this league stuff up and get ready for the sectionals.

Depends on which Ironton team shows up. Tigers play hard, but sometimes still worry too much about their own personal or statistical agendas. Winning is the thing, and on the road that requires teamwork and selflessness. If we ever get to that state of mind, then there's no telling how good and how far this team could go. Ironton has a talented group, and they are good kids, but team chemistry can be an elusive thing. Here's my wish that the Tigers can finally turn the corner on these issues. Keep playing hard, but have some fun doing it by digging what your teammate is doing rather than focusing on self. It all boils down to maturity and leadership. Time is running out, fellas, so let's take it to the next level starting tonight.

You will not have a difficult time tonight for seats, although it will be well attended. Sat nights game will probably be a sell out or close to it
