Re: Burg @ Webster
Nice showing by the Jeeps tonight. Wouldn't be surprised to see them end up at the Convo, but Manchester will be a tough team to get through. I know the win column hasn't reflected it, but this team has gotten better this year. Hopefully next year will see them back above .500.
And congrats to Burg on the win. Doesn't matter who Barrick loses, he always has them at the top of the conference regardless.*

Re: Burg @ Webster
every game for the burg has been exciting. cannot predict the outcome before game time. if any team would just fill the paint in a 2-3 like oak hill. burg is pretty much crippled. shooting percentage outside 20 has to be dismal. they are fortunate to have run into many teams "they can keep" to 30. i believe most of that is due to the fact that many of the local teams are down this year.

If your going to go off that then Wheelersburg only put up 32 on Oak Hill and may not of been that many if it wasn't for the little 10-0 run at the end against the scrubs.
It wasn't against the scrubs. Wheelersburg 10-0 run was already 6-0 when Oak Hill made one substitution (Michael Evans) at 2:42 and he was the only one until the scrubs came with 39.2 seconds remaining. The 10-0 run was completed with 1:50 remaining in the game --with 3-4 Oak Hill starters still in the game and four of their top six players playing. Senior Micheal Evans was the ONLY 'scrub' for the last four points of that run.
The game was never in the 30's. It peaked briefly at 27 and finished at 17 different.
Hale and Ondera were not in the game. with out those two being in the game it's about like playing against the scrubs. Because when those two were in the game Wheelersburg wasn't doing a whole lot.

I'm pretty sure that Ondera was still in the game and if anyone would know, it would be the doc. She is pretty much on top of things the whole game. Very good stat keeper. I do remember that persin put someone back in late after Burg had started that 10-0 run to end the game. You could tell he was really ticked.

I think it was the Borden kid that he took out and then put back in.

Yep, that's who it was. I just remember that Norm was not happy with having to do that.
Re: Burg @ Webster
42-31 yuk. If it wasn't for the baseline being wide open for layup drills I don't think the score would have got to be that high.

The Pirates won, shot horrible, played decent defense at times, made free throws, didnt panic, it was ugly 10 years from now most of us will not remember details of the game. Time to focus on Waverly coming to the new "palace" on Friday.
