Burg needs to go into this game knowing that it's one bad game and your season is over. Although they are young, this Pirate team could possibly make some noise in the tourney. If they can get someone to get hot from the outside, it could open up the paint more for Stegman and give them another scoring threat.

Good luck Pirates this Tuesday.

I take Burg by atleast 20. I saw Minford beat them (Rock Hill) by 20 something recently. I know their lineup (rock hill) is pretty big. I think if they move the ball on them, there will be no problem at all. I also think Burg will make a sneaky move in the tourny and turn some heads.

6x10: What move are you talking about?

Well, first thing, the game I believe is at 6:15p.m. @ Jackson. I think this year, the Burg has been thought of as too young this year to really perform. There are young! no doubt about that...but, from looking at the bracket, I think 3 games. That would be a pretty good move for them. Just looking at the bracket they will play a rematch with either Minford or Portsmouth @ the convo in the 3rd game...which would be a great game, whomever they play, to watch. But, we will see...tourny time is fun for the boys, at this point anything and everything about your team is erased(maybe a few dissapointing loses here and there) and it's time to play and have fun.

Burg will have to get by Rock Hill first and that will be hard enough for them. Rock Hill plays nothing but zone and if anyone has watch Wheelersburg any this year they struggle against the zone. If they beat Rock Hill they will probably play a very good Fairland team that plays four guards that can all shoot the ball very well. If they pull out a win there they will more then likely play North Adams. I don't see minford or Portsmouth beating North Adams. They have a couple of kids who can shoot the ball extremely well. I think this is as far that Wheelersburg would go at best.

Looking at their(Rock Hill) roster, they only have a couple of guys over 6'. I know one is 6'9, but Burg has played against better size all year.

Bleed Blue: I agree Burg must beat rock hill, but I know that Burg also plays Rock Hill in summer league and usually does pretty well when playing them. Minford beat rock hill pretty easily and I think if Burg plays like they did against Waverly they should take the win. Then, yes Fairland is good too, and they are no slouch, but I am just going on recent end of the year results, because I don't generally watch Fairland play, and they lost to Chesapeak by 30 the other night. Then, I agree odds are they will play North Adams "if" they (the burg) gets that far. I meant to say, "I" would like to see a Burg vs Minford/Portsmouth rematch at the convo, not Burg/North Adams. All I know about North Adams, is they beat Northwest by 10 the other night....I don't know what kind of schedule they play outside of that. But, let's remember...it tourny time and anything can happen. It is just my oppinion and what I would like to see for the Burg.

I agree anything can happen in the tourny. You really can't go off scores on how good a team is either. Wheelersburg only beat Northwest on a last second shot at home and Northwest isn't what I would call a power house. I would like to see Wheelersburg play Portsmouth or Minford in the District Semis but neither team is what they were at the start of the year. Portsmouth had probably the best team as far as talent wise in the area but they won't play together as a team. Minford just seems like they gave up about half way through the Wheelersburg game second time around and it's carried on the rest of the year but who knows. Thats why they play the game because anything is possible.

I agree as well anything can happen, and I know you can't base a whole lot on scores of other games, but I wasn't comparing Burg and Northwest...I know Northwest isn't a power house, but that is what I meant when I said they only lost to North Adams by ten, that is why I am wondering now how good North Adams is, and I believe that was at North Adams. So by that, I am just trying to figure if Minford/Portsmouth will have a chance of beating North Adams, and I still don't know who North Adams plays the rest of the season. Anyways, we will just have to see, and Burg will take it one game at a time...Barrick would have it no other way.
