I totally agree with sparky there are several kids in the SHL that help out there team buy more ways then scoring its just that the kids that are the high scores in the game get all the attn. and the kid that plays great D and jumps across the floor after the ball and makes that great play or great assist to the high scorer in the game is just important these kids work just as hard or maybe harder for there team. and a agree that Tyler Arnold is one of thoes great players there are a few on every team

Good Luck to all are great SHL kids

Kraig Unger last night I think solidified himself as not only the best player in the SHL, but maybe the best player in Southern Ohio. What a game for a great player and better kid! 40 points and the game winner at the buzzer.

All league teams have been posted on the C103 website.

I was surprised Joe Michael nor Cox from Fairfield were on there. Was also surprised they couldn't justify anyone from West Union.

That was a great list of players...a little upset that no one from West Union made it...I think every team should have at least one player named...Just my opinion.

I thought McCarty from WU should have made it. I know Manchester got 2 on there but Blake Blevins, Soph., should have been considered. He is almost avg. a double-double!

I too would have liked to see Ethan on that list. Good ball player and a good kid who has played with class everytime I have watched him step on the court.

playing with class might get you on the c103 senior game but stats are what usually gets you on the all league team.

I would like to see High school leagues name an all-defense team of maybe 10 players to award superior defensive play for a season and not just offensive stats. Although, I do believe that if you have basketball skills (pass, dribble, shoot, run, defend, jump, etc) you will have good stats. More attention should be placed on FG/FT % when comparing players stats as well. If you are scoring 20 ppg and shooting 35-40% from the field than your shot selection must not be very good and your forcing shots.

I agree West Union was done wrong, and the coaches made some bad decisions here. I looked at the stats for the players that made the list and some of them just don't add up.

I had heard that no one from WU was nominated and that is done by the coach. Not sure what happened or why WU's coach wouldn't have nominated anyone?

SHLjunkie,
Just to clarify some things. I actually did nominate Drew Bear and Ethan McCarty because both of their stats were almost identical. You needed a certain number of votes to get in and each fell one short. I had no control to decide if they got in as it was a SHL coaching decision as all coaches voted for 15, with the head coach not being allowed to vote for his own players.

I found all but a few teams on MaxPreps. West Union did not list any stats, you can't tell me not one of those kids on that team had good stats.

I knew that Mrhoops, sorry if I came out that I didn't. I had heard that no one from WU had been nominated and that's what I meant....couldn't believe that would be the case.
