What about your current leading scorer that lives on Gravel Washer? How about the best player on the last Piketon team to go to regionals? Where did he live? Oh yeah....A 30 second walk from Eastern High School.

If it wasn't for Eastern's players, Piketon would never do anything in Basketball. In fact, I believe every All-Ohio player Piketon has had actually were Eastern's players.

ok, lets see here your lovely school district was on strike at the time so it influenced parents to move their children, so why complain because they moved to piketon!
and brabson never went to eastern! :mrgreen:

Why dont you eastern boys go back to your little eagles nest and wine a little more...does it matter where these boys went to grade school...Why cant you get on here a cheer on your county friends instead of be bitter because you guys cant make it to the convo.

This sounds like a Wellston, Oak Hill, Vinton County post. I'll make the same comments I made on theirs. If kids transfer and are doing it legally within the rules, then get over it. Obviously your school system lacks what the students and parents are looking for in a school system. Whether it be athletics or academics. So if you want kids in your school system to stay.....better your academic and athletic programs period! Doesn't matter where a kid is from, what matters is where they graduate from. Other wise you have [u]NO[u] bragging rights or claims. He doesn't go in you're books as a 1000 point scorer does he?

Obviously you are young,immature,and know nothing about Pike County basketball.Eastern has more tradition than Piketon and Waverly.

Can't make it to the Convo? Are u serious? Come over to our "little Eagles Nest"and look at the banners.Then we will compare Piketon's with Eastern's.People like you are the reason people don't cheer on there "county friends".

Beaverlover,

You can't blame the other schools for taking them. Did it ever occur to you that they must have left for a reason. Maybe the good folks in Beaver need to take a look at the problems that cause kids to transfer. Sounds like that problem starts in the heart of Beaver. Open Enrollment isn't going away and Waverly and Piketon would be stupid to turn those kids away. They would just go to Jackson and Minford instead, it isn't like they will go back to Eastern.

Get a clue.

Who is blaming them? You certianally can not blame Piketon...If they would have not taken them...That would mean about 4 less SVC titles,3 less sectional titles,and 1 less district title,and 3 less all state players who all reached 1000 pts.They are very smart for taking them! As for the so called problems in Beaver...I will give the kids of the strike year a pass(although loyality should mean something)..as for all of the other kids leaving,there was no reason for it...BTW...I did not start all this...Piketon fans jumped all over me for picking North Adams to win.

i didnt know eastern and piketon was playin. i thought the topic said north adams vs. piketon. i wish piketon the best. anyone in the county still playin at this time is great. cody and jordan have both been at piketon since 6th grade. hopefully we can get back on topic and stop arguing about eastern and piketon.

NA with an upset?? Are you saying the voting was a sham and NA should never have gotten a one seed? .

They are the top ranked team, they will be wearing the home whites, they have the district POY and COY. The upset will be if Piketon beats NA. NA should win. Piketon has nothing to loose in this one.

Just stating what Ive observed by seeing both teams play. I could be wrong, just one persons opinion.

BTW:: Jordan Brabson never attended Eastern.... and Cody smith has been here since 5th or 6th grade I believe...
