Tournament Seeding

Post by BALLER1 »

Okay folks, the year is winding down now, so I want to ask you all to put on your thinking cap and see if we can come up with a better way to seed teams at the tourney draw. This year, as in most years, the seeding process seems "tainted". Conferences tend to vote together with little thought to the impact it could have on players and teams from other conferences. I know that football seeding is a complicated scheme and I would not suggest that level, but it seems there must be a better way of rewarding teams that play difficult schedules, etc.
Any thoughts from anyone!!!

Go back to the old days of seeding the top 4(or however many are to come out of the Sectional) and draw pills for the rest.

So your saying with your system...Lychburg Clay or Ports.West could have drew 5 seeds.I think this could punish teams that had great seasons and did not crack the top 4.There were atleast 10 teams with winning records at the Waverly draw.

Scenario:What if West draws a 5 and Westfall draws a 15.It just would not work in my opinion.

you can seed them but let them choose to go on the bracket in the order of their seed.
