I didn't count them but I would say that SJ and NB each dressed around 15 players combined for JV and Varsity. I do believe NB had at least 10 players dressed for the varsity contest.

again very slowly ... he never said the place was why the Flyers got beat. he SIMPLY points out what a crap hole it is. And although I didn't measaure the rims, I'll take your word that the rims measured 10 ft since you seem stuck on that??? Again.... the gym is a crap hole, again the refs were horrible, again the nb coach is classless .... any more questions?

"New Boston should be forced to find another home gym or play all road games. Games there are nothing but a street fight." ... "Plus how hard is it to call the restraining line correctly and consistently? BOTH TEAMS VIOLATED IT ALL NIGHT and the only time it was called it was done so incorrectly." ..."That is one good thing about tonight's game; it will thankfully be the last high school game I will ever have to watch there." ... again he says "10 ft rims?" ... my point was that the New Boston gym has been in PLAY for decades ... "forced to play all road games?!!" ... you have to play WHERE ever the game is tipped off ... does New Boston even have 10 players??? ...

yes the Tigers had 13 or 14 on the varsity roster. so the coach had plenty to choose from when he was up 40 and still had starters in the game shooting 3 pointers. classless is not the only word I can come up with but its the only one that I can use that will not cost me my user name on here

Only people that like playing at New Boston are New Boston basketball players.
it will be nice for them to get a new school.

Many complaints about leaving starters in by the New Boston team but those who do fail to mention only 6 of those player only dress varsity the rest of the team also dress JV therefore some of the those players sitting on the bench could not go in because players are limited to playing only 5 quarters a night. Those players sitting played 2 to three quarters some more of JV therefore limiting the time they could play varsity and don't forget JV went into overtime. You might complain about playing in the gym but guess what at least when you play there are bleachers to sit in when you play ISJ girls at ISJ you have to play in a dungeon and look over a balcony ,lucky if you get to see very much of the game. Call our gym what ever you like but just remember we do have a gym of our own to play in.

By the way the players who played the fourth quarter were all sophomores who play JV and one senior who doesn't start.

Wrong again Dumbo, the Mohr kid who is a 2or 3 year starter played the 4th qtr and scored 8-10 points. #4 or#5 who also start played in the 4th qtr. Noone should defend a coach who is running up the score. As far as having a gym to play in we do but ISJ was smart enough in 1970 to find a bigger place to play. Pfloyd argument makes no sense but neither does their music :)

i read back but can find no post that claims the officals influenced the outcome of this game. I can retype my take on things again but i won't, it won't change the fact the the new boston coach is classless. new boston was the better team, hell i could have officiated and the Flyers wouldn't have won- although it probably would have beeen closer! LOL.

Awesome post.........the very best that explains it all! I never remember the Flyers complaining about how small the gym was when they have beaten us in the Den! Keep working hard Tigers!

What is wrong with you people...........you complain about the gym, the officials, our players in the fourth quarter and now our band? We do have a band and they work very hard. That was our entire band and if you do not like it go on outside when they play. I never remember the Flyers complaining when they beat us under the very same circumstances, in the same gym.

Go back and search my post. i have always contended "the den" is a sh#thole, win or lose. try again .

yeah i guess with 9 other players on the bench he still had to have his 5 starters in the game thur the 3rd quarter while being up 40??? not only in the game but shooting 3 pointers??? Classless!!!

Obviously, you have not read some of the posts above. We only have six (6) players for varsity. Some of our JV players had to set out the fourth quarter so they would be able to play in the varsity contest. The JV Tigers were up double digits in the fourth and the removal of those JV players played into the hands of the Flyers, thus the comeback. And if you want to talk about coaches.........what kind of antics were your coaches performing during the JV contest.

This game is over.............you will get a rematch at your place later in the year! Good Luck to your Flyers! Go Tigers!

yeah after reading the post again i am confident Dutch was talking about pink floyds music not that of the new boston band, which for the record I didn't have a problem with. sounds as though there is a pattern on some posters to try to read between the lines and inturprate posts as they see fit to fit their point of view.

Yes PT, I was talking about Pink Floyd the band. As far as not complaining when we win at NB it could be I remember only maybe 5 wins there and I am old school having played ther 30 -35 years ago. I am not sure why ACM cannot say the officials were not very good and their gym is way outdated when both are obvious. I laugh when people talk about the gym at ISJ, we know it sucks and is hard to watch a game there but we are man enough to admit it.
