Where wil Alexander fall this year? I heard the talent level is really low? Any truth to that? I hear NY has alot of talent Athens and VC are loaded and Wellston is not too far behind.

I look for Vinton County, Wellston and Athens to be the three top teams in the Ohio.

Vinton and Athens will be the top 2 no doubt, and could possibly tie with 1 loss on the others home court. Wellston and Alex will be in te middle. Meigs and NY will battle for the basement. NY had a ton of senior talent, but have not put it together for a string of gamesthe last 2 year. They play 2 or maybe 3 good games, then have major lapes in the next few, then ok, etc. They and Meigs will be looking at at least 8 losses in the conference.

athens will go undefeated vinton county will hold a concrete 2nd place.. alexander will have a hard time getting a win..nelsonville might have a couple overated ball players, but they will atleast go .500 and meigs nor wellston they are those kind of teams that can beat any given team on any given day.. Good luck to all the teams..

Waterford is in the Hocking. They may have a shot in the other division.

NY has hands down the most talent. The question will be, can the coaching finally measure up to the talent of the players? Remember, they had the best players last year and finished near the basement.

You must not have watched Vinton County play yet ... Their starting 5 is outstanding; they have the most talent in the TVC-Ohio IMO. L.B. Remy is crazy good, J.D. Chesser can leap out of the gym and shoot the three, Jordan Kidd led the Vikings with 10 pts at the preview - he has all the tools (size at 6'2, shoots from the outside, can handle the ball, etc...etc...) ... 6-foot-3 Dustin Holsinger is a 'man-child' playing in the post and PG Alex Owing is only a soph but does everything coach Combs needs him to do (handle the ball, don't turn it over and deliver the rock to all of the 'play-makers the Vikings possess.)

The only spot VC may have over NY would be at the HC position. I guess we will see which one is more talented by seasons end.

I don't know Amarranavajas; you said in your other post "NY had the best players last year, but finished in the basement."

Vinton County 61
Nelsonville-York 40

Vinton County 62
Nelsonville-York 23

I'm not sure the 'best players' lose by 39 points in games man.

I think Wellston will come out on top this year. They have one of the best backcourts in the Leauge and one of the best players in the League "Nigel Courts"! Also Austin Craig is one of the best at getting to the rim and finding his teamates. There bench is also solid with a defensive specialist Ernest Brown and a powerful post player in Andrew Richards.

GOOD LUCK ROCKETS! :o :o :o

The best players still have to play as a team, and be coached as a team. I think that might happen this year. Go to any big city park and you will find some great players. But if you put them all on one team with no coaching, they will lose to a team that is well coached. This NY team needs to be coached, and there is no reason for them to lose to anyone by that many points.

The talent is there, even in the younger grades. But it all comes to coaching and dedication. The kids are dedicated, I just hope the coaches are.
