Why would he go to UC Clermont with other OFFERS on the table? UC-C can give no money, but I'm sure its not breaking the bank for him to go there either.

We will see how it plays out but I think its a smart decision. If you go to a D1 school like Gardner Webb and don't produce...where do you go from there? If you stay close to home, contribute in a big way and get stronger, which he would have to do to play D1, then many doors will open up to transfer.

NKU is a pretty good basketball team it is not much more of a drive than u c clermont. I have been to both places toured NKU when a family member worked there. I would have taken the nku offer.

Still makes no sense at all to me to go to UC-C with offers on the table from a D1, and D2 school(s). It's all about the fit I suppose, just would think he would choose the highest level of competition to better himself as a player.

I have been to quite a few branch college games over they years. They are nothing like the JC programs that groom players for D1. They are usually just a bunch of guys who played in Hs that want to keep playing. He could have played at a much higher level than this, strange decision. Wonder what his logic on this was?

Agree with HBK and others, Playing at UCC is and should be the last resort after you have went somewhere else legitimate for a quarter or semester and gave yourself a chance to see how things were going to work out. I hope that he didnt make this decision out of fear of leaving adams county and home.

uc clermont plays a pretty tough schedule, not your average community college program, but still a step below some better d3 teams and many good naia d1 teams. about even with naia d2 teams and juco d2 teams.

Plus at a branch you miss out on the typical college experience. I wish him the best also, just seems like a strange decision considering he had "better" offers.
