Fort Frye @ Belpre 12/5

This will be a great game to watch.What I dont get is why all the people I talk to from Belpre give FF no respect.I feel Belpre students think Belpre will kill everyone.Belpre players think FF stinks and they are in for a long night.

I have only heard or read of one person saying that Belpre would win by 25 points and no one else on here agreed with him. I have heard of no one not respecting Fort Frye especially Belpre players. These kids all know each other and they know that the FF team can win this game if they Belpre doesn't play their absolute best.I have not heard any other Belpre fans disrespect FF and everyone know how good they can be,especially from 3 point range.I truly believe this will be a good,close game with the team who makes the less errors and executes the best coming out on top.Good luck to both teams and GO EAGLES.

Belpre players and coaches know how good Fort Frye is. They play them every year. This game is usually always a hard fought, close game. Belpre will not be overlooking the fort.

I teach in the Belpre area and the players and students I have talked to have only talked about how they will destroy FF.For the guy that said no one in the area can play with Belpre I just wanna say how did Belpre do vs a bad Trimble team?Belpre has talent and is very athletic but they have flaws.They are street ballers with a new coach.They are not big fans of defense and they seem to turn the ball over alot.I think it will take Belpre a couple games to come together.Belpre is not a good shooting team.They will go stretches where they can not knock down a jumper.FF is a tough matchup for Belpre because they do not turn the ball over.Belpre will have best success when they are forcing turnovers and getting buckets in transition.Unless Reggie Sims has a monster game I doubt they beat the Cadets.Cadets will have to make 3's to win the game.

Every year Belpre folks get on here stating how great they are going to be and when the season doesnt pan out they will start bashing the coaches. Remember I said it first.

LOL, yeah since every team plays so hard at the preview. Sims didn't even play and the second string played a lot more than they should have. This team is a lot better than what all you people think. We will see tomorrow night, and i bashed the coaches because he deserved to be bashed. Plummer had no reason coaching high school basketball. Worst coach i have ever seen at that level. Parsons will have this team ready to go.

Eagles speed and defense too much for the Fort and they soar to a 8 point victory at the Eagles Nest. Great start to an exciting season.GO EAGLES!!!

Like I said,Eagles soar to an 8 point victory at the Eagles Nest. Well I'll take 7. Great game by two good teams. It was a tale of two halves,Fort taking the first half and Belpre taking the 2nd.Officials seemed to favor the Fort in the first and turned around in the 2nd.Great job Eagles now it's on to Waterford Tuesday.GO EAGLES

Good win for the Eagles. Always nice to get the first win in the season opener. Still, it is a long season and a lot of teams left to play.

The whistles seemed to dictate the early quarters of the game causing both teams to be unable to get into a rythmn, I suppose it's the zebras opening night jitters, I hope cause they were awful both ways. Never seen so many calls away from the ball.

Now to the game, Fort Frye is dangerous when all 5 on the floor can handle the ball. Belpre's second half full court press seemed to push FF a little on edge. With a minute left and FF getting back within 2 I thought Belpre shot themselves in the foot went a carefree inbounds was bobbled out of bounds giving the ball back to the Cadets when a timeout was called. Guess I didn't see it . Neither team had a commanding lead or seemed to run away and hide but it was a tale of 2 halves. Great to see Belpre pull one out when not having a great offensive night.

Coach Parsons used his "free education" to school Fort Frye the 2nd half. Hats off the the defense displayed tonight. Waderker, Tate and Parsons played outstanding perimeter defense.

Belpre played good D but they shot the ball awful.They are not a great outside shooting team making zero threes.FF hurt itself with turnovers.Also its sucked that Garrett Legrean got a concussion when FF lead 29-23.Fort Frye played most of the 2nd half without top 3 players Watson mcl,Legrean concussion,and Bates 4 fouls.I honestly think FF is the better team but I guess we will never no since they dont play twice.I guess all that matters is Belpre 1-0 and Fort Frye 0-1

defense truely does win games. There were 4 five second calls i remeber and it did look like the striped men were a litting jumpy. way to go eagles
