If memory serves we continued to play only South Point from the county schools. I will ask at the next Ironton game. How many times have St. Joe and Ironton squared off? I remember taking in the two when Joe Dressel was at St. Joe.

Ironton is leaving the SEOAL.....Ironton and St. Joe have played many times "in the past". My question, which no one seems to want to answer, is why Rock Hill has grown as a school, which obviously should give you a deeper talent pool, but yet they have not grown in athletics? It's just a question. I mean Ironton has shrunk in size and their talent has decreased along with it over the years. And before you get on me, I actually graduated from Ironton and played several sports there, so I'm not saying that out of jealousy. I was just wondering anyone's thoughts on the connection between school size and athletic success. Is it the scheduling, the coaching, what?

Don't know yet about the purple and gold heading north. We haven't played a home game yet so I'm not sure how good our student section is. I will let you know after we play a couple home games though. :122249

Please do,and maybe I can pass on some of the new, improved chants from the student section on to the kids from the hill.In the end we all know that is what determines the outcome of these games. :122249

You got it old buddy. Of course I need back up with you and you'd probably agree it took more than the two of us to get you under control on the football sideline back in the day. :)

Maybe Ironton's success is due to the fact that they have the best players from ALL the county schools. Don't know about this year but I do know Michael Lamb from last year really was from Fairland!!!!!

a) This topic is about SJ and RH. What in this whole big world does this post have to do about that? Nothing. The only thing mentioned about Ironton on this topic was concerning scheduling, not it's success.

b) Where a student-athlete goes is none if your concern. It is the parent's decision. Period.

c) Would you like a little cheese with that wine? Or, is that whine? Whine made from sour grapes usually doesn't go down very well. :122249
