CG won. I believe the score was 52-47. It was a very exciting game and could have gone either way. Congrats to the Hornets, especially my favorite Hornet, Wayno Sparks.

I heard from one of my friends in Ironton, via cell phone, that Sparks hit a couple set shots, ala your dad BWH, that put Coal Grove back in this game.

Wayno was big late in the game. He was in foul trouble and sat out a big part of the game but hit a couple buckets to bring Coal Grove from behind.

Sparks had a good game--he's had better ones---but he was sick. Riley and Malmeister had a good game for st. joe! THE REF'S WERE HORRIBLE! good crowd for the game(nice to see the fans supporting the teams!)

We'll find out how good this Rock Hill team is Tuesday night. They seem to do alright in Div 4 but when they get back into their own division they have trouble. Lets see how they smash Chesapeake.

St. Joe played much better against CG than against RH. They didn't even look like the same team. That plus the fact that CG had a bit of foul trouble could be part of the reason the game was so close.

I wouldn't rag on anyone let alone tease them, not even the Redmen. If they go into the Panther's Pit and come out with a win, I'll be the first to congratulate them. Don't see it happening but stranger things have come to fruition.
