SV probably shouldn't even have St. Joe on their schedule. SV is large D4 that often flirts with D3 size. Especially this season....I for one would have loved to see them play a tougher non-league schedule (I know they just played Oak Hill...talking about the rest of it).

They did not play Chesapeake in the regular season...it was a foundation game. Anyhow, just my humble opinion that SV non-leaugue could be a little stronger.

Moving on.

Good luck to both squads.

Wow. Didn't St. Joe beat Symmes Valley last year? And, you say you're wanting to toughen up the schedule. Hmmmm.

Hey, eaglesnest, Symmes Valley has 12 more boys in the school than Eastern does. Who are you playing?

Stand corrected on # of kids in SV. A friend of mine is an AD and he said there had been some discussion of moving SV up to the SOCII???

Who do we play? Per school website:

1. Minford-SOC2 (D3)
2. Northwest SOC2 (D2 I think?)
3. Piketon-SVC (D3 final 4 last season)
4. Southeastern -SVC (D3)
5. Charleston Catholic at Wellston Hoops Classic (was told they are a power house and lost in state tournament last season??? I couldn't tell you. I never follow WV schools)
6. Holiday tournament-either Waverly (D2 just beat Chesapeake) or Western

Anyhow, looks a little stronger than the Vikings I'd say :122249

Vikings by 14. They are too deep on the bench this year for St. Joe. Fresh legs will wear them down.

The SOC1 is the vikings to win or lose this year. They are playing some good ball right now.

SV won by about 30. Don't remember the score exactly but it was in the area of 80-50.

The Vikings are loaded this year and St. Joe is very young so I expected a Flyer loss but not that bad. The next few years St. Joe should have a better showing against the Vikings.

SV please, please, PLEASE do not move to the SOCII... Stay in SOCI, be humble. SOCII would be suicide for SV in all sports... not worth it at all for them. Unless there's an X-factor of the SOC saying "If you have an X number of students, you must move to SOCII."..if not...no, no, no! :?
