According to Belpre high school, there will be NO tickets sold at the door for tonight's game. The game is a sellout from the presale of tickets that was held at both high schools this past week.

The only passes that are to be accepted will be...

Belpre Athletics Season Passes - student, individual or family, Belpre City Schools Employee Passes and conference athletic passes. (I assume that this would be both TVC and SEOAL passes only)It is also my understanding that the doors will open @ 5:15.

I was told by AD that Senior passes would also be accepted.

That is correct. I knew I would leave something out. Thanks for catching it and I corrected my previous post.

Most powerful team Warren has had for many years, Belpre keeps pace for 2 1/2 - 3 quarters. Then Warren's depth becomes an advantage. Warren by 7-10 points.

i have to agree with hardrock...i think warren's depth will be too much for the eagles...as it was too much for maysville...as for warren not wanting a face paced game i have to disagree...i think that has been one of warrens strong suits this year...for eaxample when fort frye stopped their running game and made them play some half court offense the result was a lot of standing around for the warriors offense hence the 35 total points in the game....i look for the warriors to try and get some buckets in transition against the eagles...i am going to say warriors by at least 10 and if they make their foul shots 15

Thornhill on the radio? Is this a one time deal or has he signed a contract with WJAW? :)

Warren is good, very good... Cunningham may be the best player in SEOAL if not the entire area...unreal

justlookin wrote:The difference in this game will be desire!!! Warren only has one player who can get hot and carry the team while Belpre has a couple. Belpre's defense and their desire to win IS the difference in this game. Get their early and root for your team. 60-47 Eagles.

GO EAGLES!!!!!

Warren spanked Belpre tonight, warriiorfan you were right and I can admit that I am wrong. Fivecoat smothered Tate and Venham did whatever he wanted on both ends of the floor and Cunningham is with out a doubt the best player in this area hands down. Some are going to complain about the zebras being bad, but one ref was absolutely horrible for both teams, that ain't what beat us DESIRE was and WARREN had it.

We need to forget about this game practice hard and get after VC Friday night.

GO EAGLES!!!

Bad 2nd quarter and allowing Sims to foul out in the 3rd spelled doom for the Eagles. Warren outscored Belpre 18 - 6 in the 2nd quarter and Sims picked up his 4th foul with a little more than 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and was left in the game and was not able to play any defense and fouled out before the end of the quarter.Belpre made a run and cut the lead to 7 but without Reggie they had no chance to get any closer. They played hard and never quit but Warren is a good team and they did what they had to do to win the game.I look forward to the rematch at Warren next month and hope the Eagles can get a little revenge then. Lets rebound from this loss with an upset of Vinton County on Friday.GO EAGLES!!!

Another slow start for the Warriors, but a good solid finish.

Eventually, starting slow is going to bite us in the butt, so the team needs to figure out how to keep the game at a pace that's right for them early. Always something to work on.

But all in all, congrats Big Blue.
Belpre, team is much improved.

Good luck Friday night to both sides

typical belpre...i thought the eagles got rid of the problem (plummer) but i believe plummer kept them in the game until late in the fourth last year...Venham and Cunningham again showed how much the two of them can effect a game with a combined 45 of the 82 points scored by the warriors...ellenwood, knost, and fivecoait also had a big impact on the game even if it doesn't show in the box scores...today's newspaper is tomorrows trash so its time to regain focus and get ready for another tuff game with portsmouth on friday...
