The attitudes have not changed in these boys one bit. Word is sims is out next game and that could cost the eagles. Things i didnt get last night, why did erik wadeker come out of the game, he was keeping Cunningham under control and why does slattery not play? He played the whole fourth quarter and that i know of contibuted the ball nicely.

overall this was a wake up call for the eagles and now they have to get passed it and move on.

Lets go eagles!!

Athletes for sure! Flashes of Excellence all over the place for the Eagles! But that was the story last year too...

Awesome example of maintaining compusure by a player in foul trouble!!! Mr. Fivecoat got to sit much of the first half with 2 fouls...surely frustrated, he chose to take it out on the Eagles, in a positive manner, played awesome D and scored all 15 of his points after intermission!!!

The TEAM maintained compusure everytime the Eagles made a run...

Just guessing here, but I think what 'bankshot' was referring to was the negativity towards your previous coach on here how he was 'the problem' as to why they did not experience the success that some believed they should have attained... Different Chief, mostly the same Indians, same lack of discipline...composure...togetherness. I truly hope they get it together, they would be fun to watch!

Well said warriiorfan. Warren definately plays TEAM ball and stays with their game plan. Belpre panicked and when down, went to One on One ball. TOGETHERNESS is an interesting word here - they're TOGETHER, but not a TEAM. Parsons needs to make them a TEAM. They'll have a hard time down the road if it's not corrected now and that means making the right decisions, sitting players when they don't play TEAM ball and keeping it FAIR all the way down the bench. When Warren went up by 20+, the Belpre players that were out on the floor didn't give up and they made a run and got it to within 10, but ran out of gas. I was proud to see that and it showed the TEAM does have players that WANT to win and play TEAM ball. And my hat goes off to Erik Waderker who absolutely left it on the floor last night, Pat Slattery for hustling and showing heart during that run ( can't figure out why he's not on the floor more ), Rashawn Miller ( needs to be on the floor more also ) and Markie Tate who has matured as a player and kept his head in the game. Like they say, It ain't over till it's over. Alot of ball left to play. I hope they come together as a team.
Warren is a really good team and I'm very impressed with Cunningham and Venham and with the TEAM as a whole. Very poised, very well coached, very disciplined and I hope they go very far into the post season. Congrats on the win Warriors.

I think that it was better off to have a different coach instead of Plummer. The kids and coach Plummer didn't click they way they should have. Coach Parsons is good with them and i think they are improved since last year. I take no credit away from them for losing Warren is always tough and have two great players in Cunningham and Venham. Belpre is not the same team tey were last year they come out and play to win. Still alot of ball to be played, just work on things needing improvement and continue to play hard. Hope the Eagles get a win at Warren next game!

I wish u people @ BELPRE would leave Mr. PLUMMER alone. All u have done over the last two years is trash talk him. He is Human!! He does have a heart!! Leave him alone !! Please keep your harsh comments to yourself, if that's possible. (Doubt it !!). Coach Parsons is a nice guy too. After this season I hope u people @ Belpre don't throw him under the bus also.

If it wasn't for Reggie Sims transfering back to Belpre this year, this team isn't any better than last years. Just a year older, not wiser. Mr. Sims makes all the difference in the world for this ball club if he keeps his head on straight and his attitude stays a-justed. Markie is very good at what he does and has been for a long time, but to make it far in the tourny run he needs help. He has it if Coach Parsons can work this unit into a smooth running machine thats running on all eight cylinders come tournament time. Coach Parsons has his work cut out for himself. I think he knew this coming in he had attitudes to deal with. He has the players and the make-up to pull this off as one of the finest Golden Eagle Basketball teams in awhile. I wish him luck. Belpre is off to a good start. (3-1). They just ran into a buzz saw with Warren. They have to regroup quickly 'cause they have the well coached Vikings coming to town tonight, then Marietta the following nite. Come Sunday morning we'll see how well they have weathered the storm.

P.S. If any body is going in for a lay-up this weekend, I hope a Belpre parent doesn't tell his kid to take 'em out. This could cause serious injury. Good Luck Coach Parsons the rest of the way and Mr. Plummer, keep up the good work with the Youth Program. U put in alot of time and effort that alot of people from Belpre over look !!!!!!!!!!!!!Kudos. All I wanted to say in all this garbage is "Leave Plummer alone with all the negitave talk". Talk about something possitive, if u will, or can. Bye Bye now!!

I am from Belpre and will support Belpre until the end but it is true they love to blame, the refs, the coaches, sometimes you loose just because you got out played or outcoached. This basketball team is very good, I believe Tate and Simms will come together and hit there strides mid season I've watched them for a while so I know what they can do, Waderker will always hustle and give it 110% that's his style, Tyler Leisure will improve the more he plays and he will be a very big asset going into tourn. later this season, I believe Slattery should start and Parsons off the bench, and rotate those two at the guard position. As for blaming Plummer I just can't believe it, I even overheard a couple parents talking how Plummer set up the schedule this year for this week, and how it was so tough and it was going to wear the boys out, and he must have done it on purpose, unbelievable. PLUMMER IS GONE LEAVE HIM ALONE.

Im not sure if you were referring to me about trash talking Plummer. I was not trash talking Plummer i was stating that the chemestry between Plummer and te players was not working and that does affect the way they play. The chemstry between Coach Parsons and the players is better this year. It's like school, you are probably going todo better in a class you like rather than a class you don't like. You would probably pay more attention in the class you like more than the class youdon't like. Curt Plummer is a good guy don't get me wrong but in my opinion the chemestry wasn't there. Hope you understand my post better.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? Cunningham best player in the area? You need to get out more,,, wait and see when the Warriors play a good team.....Against a zone he really needs help- turnovers-shot selection-needs alot of work, shooting isnt his specialty, atleast not yet.....And checkout the stats for first game against a zone vs Portsmouth.....3-12 shooting --approx 10 turnovers.....Hes good but dont put him on that platform yet....Can you say TEAM............Until then, wait and see results and find out..... :12222 The sun will come out tmrw...

Seriously who do you think is better and why are you down on this kid? Did he do something you didn't like or are you just hating. From what i can tell that comment came from a non warrior fan and you are supposedly a warrior fan from your screen name. You also need to pay more attention if you are watching the game, Portsmouth only played zone for the first quarter.
