Re: Col.Mifflin 84 Piketon 83-Final
Actually the final score was 85-84...there was an error discovered in the scorebook at the end of the game...it was still a 1pt loss. Mifflin had a nice squad (4-0); great learning experience for the Piketon squad. Had our chances!

boys played a tough game again! they always show heart when they play the game! & southworth would have ended up with 25 points if he would stay out of foul trouble.with the foul trouble he ended up with 19, he has had great games so far..& helton has improved a lot since last year! he is that one that everyone sat and wandered all preseason which 1st time varsity starter would step up and be able to score. vulgamore always always ALWAYS gives 100%, we are just waitin on that breakout game for him! && LEGG IS JUST FLAT UNSTOPPABLE!! 30 pts. tonight! great job!!! miflin was a good team, keep your heads up!

I like the way the Streaks battled last night without Brush and Southworth in the 4th qt. Mifflin 4-0 /2-0 Columbus City league was bringing the heat. I can't believe the Streaks didn't get the two calls at the end at home in the "Oven" no home cookin for the Chef last night. lol

Sounds like a great game. Kudos to the staff for bringing a team like Mifflin to the oven. Great competition for the kids and the fans get to see some fresh talent instead of the same ole SE district.

Jimmy, I bet the Mifflin people probably thought, if they hadnt been whistled so much it wouldnt even have been a game! LOL Mifflin is good, that number 3 was as fast as anyone with the ball I have seen, just like Cleveland Central Catholic last year. They forced a bunch of turnovers. Piketon played hard, just couldnt get over the hump. Finish out the week strong against PV at home Friday. Lets Go Streaks!

Listened to some of the game on the radio, and it sounded like a real track meet. Too bad the Streaks didn't pull out the 'W.' Mifflin is definitely a step up in competition, so hopefully this will aid the Streaks as the season goes on. Will be at the game tomorrow, so looking for a victory by the Streaks.

Great effort by the Redstreaks against the quickest and most athletic team I have seen this year.......and yet if Piketon had made just a couple more free throws they would have won........it is no shame to lose to 4-0 Mifflin.......Evan Legg was OUTSTANDING for PHS......if I recall, he never came out of the game.......the kid is in GREAT SHAPE.

Hats off to Piketon.. Sounds like they took it to the wire against a City League team from the biggest city in Ohio... Not Bad!
