Look it all boils down to Peake played smarter and had more talent on the floor. Not putting the Dragons down. Copley played really smart and took what he could get and what they gave him. They spread the ball around really good and kept the Dragons off balance. Fours players for the Peake going for 18, 16, 14, 11. Doesnt get any better than that. Bloomfield didnt miss that many shots. He didnt TAKE that many. All over him and he knew better than to go in where the big boys were. Good for him too!

Of course. Why would anyone consider Kennedy's 18 points and 11 rebounds impressive?

yea the rebounds were impressive and yea he had 18 points, but about 10-12 of those came from the free throw line.
and he should have out rebound everyone he had 3-4 inches on everyone on the court.
and Salyers wasnt tough enough to guard him, but when they put Campbell in who is much tougher it was the same as salyers on him.
i never said the kid wasnt good.
i was just expecting more from all the preseason hype he got.

this game might have been a little different if Bloomfield could have gotten anything to fall but he couldnt buy a shot, but sometimes you have those nights..same goes for Copley.

I am not trying to take sides with anyone, but i kept stats of all the players and had Kennedy 6 for 6 from the line.
I've watched plenty of basketball games and know that just having height doesn't get you rebounds.

I agree both Bloomfield and Copley had an off shooting night, but seems that the adjustments made by Copley driving the lane was the smart thing to do. Everyone has an off shooting night.

it was mainly bad coaching as well..Copley got the backdoor cut atleast 5 times before there were any adjustments made.

jl724 i guess you werent watching the same game because you said salyers wasnt tough enough to guard the new kid well the match up the whole game was holbrook on him. The coach told the players the back door was coming i heard with my own ears. And the new kid for chesapeake is a stud

I never said the Kennedy kid was not good, all I said was I expected more bc of all the hype he got, and you can't say Campbell wasn't on him
bc I have seen pics of Campbell guarding him.
and I'm not saying anything bad about Salyers bc he's only a sophmore, he'll get much stronger.

JL, stop crying the talent level is not even close between the two teams. Granted Fairland did all they could and played very hard! All of your excuses are out the window. Your story is so wishy-washy, your not on here to give congrats to a winning team or say your team played hard, you are here to downgrade kids who play hard for their school! So either be supportive of children (KIDS), grow up, or dont say anything at all!

I havent seen the Peake play this year yet but I continue to hear good things!I think Fairland will continue to get better,Plus we get antoher shot at Peake here ina few weeks so who knows!The times I have seen the Dragons play this year thought they get killed on 2nd and 3rd chance shots!That has got to stop if you expect to have a shot at beating good teams!

Dragon fans some things do look promising. Evan Salyers the boy can play and im not sure he is weak b/c he held his own with a stronger Saunders and a bigger Kennedy some mistakes he may make will all go away with more pt remember he played jv and a little varsity last year. Hes gonna be good! And i think Coach Mclung put his team in a possition to win if they could have kept the temp like they had in the 1st quarter but after that you could see the difference as Fairland started losing breath and their legs all of these things will be something they can improve upon its a long season! But anybody who isnt doing anything on saturday come check out some quality cames at chesapeake starting at 2pm in the Beast of the Southeast Tournament.

and if any of the fairland ppl on here knew who this was except for like 2 ppl that actually do know they'd all just think it's funny.
and they'd all know that I'm just playing around but some ppl are so serioussss that it makes it much more fun to continue with it.
