Symmes Valley at Eastern - 1/12/10 - SOC I
Symmes Valley at Eastern - 1/12/10 - SOC I
Symmes Valley will be making the trip to the Eagle's Nest to take on the Eagles. This game will feature two unbeaten clubs in league action and possibly the front runners for the SOC I title.
The Eagles will have their talons sharpened and looking to defend home court. It should be a great game and hopefully the boys from Beaver can keep to the winning ways and place another W in the column.
Good Luck Eagles!

Vikings will be the biggest test in conference for the Eagles. I think the Eagles can take care of business at home Eagles 62 Vikings 58.

SOCFAN1430, I hope that you are right. This game is very important for the Eagles and they need to protect the Eagle's Nest.
I think Coach Fitch will have them fired up and ready to play!

Huge game in the SOC1. The eagles come in at 5-1 best I can tell and undefeated in league play. Symmes Valley is 3-2..but with both losses coming to larger schools and they as well are undefeated in league play. Symmes also has a new coach and new system this season, but are loaded with talent (Tibbs, Taylor, and Craft) with very good role players.
Last season, I seen the Eagles defeat Symmes Valley at home and the score was up in the 80's....a real track meet that reminded me of some of the Eagles glory days.
It will take the best the Eagles have to win this game. I say the Eagles win in a shootout 76-74.

Should be a good game. Haven't seen symmes valley play yet this year, but Eastern has been playing tremendous Defense as of late. I think mcvey will do a good job containing tibbs and the other eastern players will keep the pressure D on as well. I say Eastern by 10.

Very big game...Eagles better come ready to play,I am very impressed with the Tibbs kid and they have good shooters as well...Eastern will have to play defense as good if not better than they have all year.Symmes Valley has alot of talent and I think are well coached which they havent been in years past. They are definitely a better team with there new coach. That being said,I think Eastern will take care of business at home and will win this big SOC 1 matchup..
Eagles by 5...

Huge game indeed. I think this game will be one of the desiding games of the top team in the soc1. I will take the vikes by 10 or less with Tibbs gettin 25, Johnson with at least 10 and ferris with 8.

The Eagles have been very focused and playing some good basketball (so has Symmes Valley). They are fundamentally sound and are executing as a team (So is Symmes Valley). Coach Fitch has these Eagles focused and they are doing the little things to help make them better. In my opinion, a very well matched up game and the team that executes and limits the turnovers will win this game.
The Holiday Tourney was a great learning experience for these young men and they will be more than ready to play this game.
Yes, this game will definitely have implications and will move the winner into the driver's seat for the league championship. A win by either team will not decide it, but a loss will more than likely put the other team playing catch up and needing for the other one to get upset in the remaining schedule.
I am giving Eastern the advantage because of home court. This will be a Slobber Knocker though and hopefully the boys from Beaver can protect the Eagle's Nest from the invading Vikings!
Eastern - 72
Symmes Valley - 66

Eaglesnest,
I hope that I am right as well. If the boys play together as a team and continue to do what they have been, they will be in the game and more than likely win it.
The Eagle's Nest is worth ten points and the boys will play the hard nosed defense to do the rest. Defense will be the primary focus for the Eagels as well as playing smart and staying within themselves and not trying to do too much as an individual.
I have faith and so does the rest of the Beaver and Stockdale (especially Justin McBee and his fried squirrel specialty). LOL
Go Eagles!

I'll take Eagles by 5 in this one. Eastern's been playing some really good defense and that is what wins you ballgames.
