Re: East at Green 1-22-10
Green played a little better than they have been playing.
Green changed the starting five tonight still not
the right 5, need to start both 6'5 kids together
and number 35 who is the best outside shooter.
I guess it doesn't matter who starts but how well
they play when their in the game.
number 21 for East is a very good player.

If I remember correctly the Bradford kid scored 18 pts in the first half and 1 point the 2nd . Tyler Hughes picked him up at half court and stayed in his face until the final buzzer sounded . Game in and game out , Tyler is counted on to take the other teams best shooting guard and shut him down. Pat Pierce , the best point guard I have seen this year , also does very well on the defensive end .

It wasn't Bradford, it was Garrett that had 18 at the half
and was held to 1 point in the 2nd half.
and was held to 1 point in the 2nd half.

Hughes is becoming an excellent defender and Pierce has improved his ball handling skills but both need to work on their shot and passing in the lane during fast breaks. Too many turnovers trying to force things underneath, especially in transition. Green, as a team, HAS to start shooting the ball better from outside in order to have a winning season. Opposing teams will continue to pack it in on D and force the Cats to beat them from outside. Shooting 20% from 12 feet out isn't going to do it.
