Seen Murray and his team. They shoot a lot of 3's, but they have done a good job this year so has Murray. . Good Luck Eagles and Lancers in the playoffs.

I was at the Trimble game and the Eastern game, but haven't seen the lancers since early in the season. Take nothing away from Eastern, they are a first class team. Well balanced on both the offensive and defensive sides of the court. The Lancers however just seem to do whatever they want. There were multiple times at the Trimble game where Lancer players would come off the bench and appear to have arguments with the coach. Players were looking into the stands and receiving instruction from multiple parents. Same thing at the Eastern game. Now I don't know Coach Murray and don't know anything about what he is trying to do, but I do know that if his players are doing what the bleacher coaches are telling them to do, there's gonna be problems.

I guess bottom line is that the Lancer organization looks to be completely unorganized with players doing whatever they feel like and parents pulling strings from the stands. It was night and day between the two ball clubs last night. I can only imagine that you would never see a Howie Caldwell player disrespect him or look into the bleachers for guidance.

Congrats to the Eagles on your TVC Championship. Good luck to the Lancers in the tourney, hope to see you in the Convo.

If a coach doesn't demand respect or even treat his players or other coaches with respect then why should they respect him. He has acted like "one of the boys" with them and let them argue and talk back to him from the start so why should they change that now. He actually told the players on a bus going to a game to avoid a former player that decided not to play before the season started...yep, he told them to not sit next to him in school and to just ignore him if he tried to talk to them. Actions like that, plus many many others, are why I don't have respect for coach murray.

And your right, I couldn't even imagine what would happen if one of Howies players talked to him like that, I guess that shows what a little discipline will do for ya, something that Fed Hock hasn't had in a long time.

Coaching & play last night for FH was strange. Do not know what happen at half time in the locker room but some starters came out and just sit on the bench, did not warm up shooting with the rest of the team. Coach comes out later and just sits on the bench, I don't recall him saying anything to the team before the half started. Hope FH gets it put together and makes a tourney run.
Senior night at Eastern for the cheer leaders and players. CONGRATS on an excellent year. You could tell that the players had respect for the coaching staff because of what was said. Goog luck in the tournament.

He is probably worried about his job. What he should have done early is cut loose the attitudes and play with what you have left, but I'm sure those parents would cry to the board and he'd have to put them back on. If he see's players looking into the stands or yelling at him then I'd say sit them down and play with what I had left. Even come tournament time.

The one poster is obviously a parent since he said anyone who has watched on of his practices. That sounds like parents have been to practice. There is a problem. Don't allow them at practice.

You know Coach Caldwell always says that u go as far as your SENIORS take you, I totally agree. But man look at our coaching staff!! I think that the desipline and manners these boys have on and off the court says alott about our COACHES (and parents). Thank you coaches and players, lets keep on rolling!!

Eagles controlled this game from start to finish. Great end too the regular season. Throw the records out now. The second season begins this week.

I thought Eastern is 18-1 and not 19-1 as someone posted above?

They still have to play Nelsonville-York correct?

Correct. The Nelsonville-York game has not been played. I'm still not sure whether it will be.

He acts like one of the boys because he is one of the boys. The young man is in his early 20's.

Coach Murray was cast into a tough head coaching job at a very young age without really paying his dues when compared with most other head coaches around the league. I don't know the man personally but have been told he's a fairly bright young guy and it's obvious by watching him coach that he's passionate about basketball.

Perhaps the biggest fear Lancer fans should have is the possibility that their coach develops into an excellent prospect for bigger programs. He has no ties to the area and the Fed Hock job comes with it's fair share of head aches and surely doesn't pay that much.

The Fed coach was out of control at Trimble and should have been t'd early. He clearly had no control over the players either. The players talked back to him, the officials, and mouthed off to the other team. It was a different attitude than what it was in the first game of the season from where I was watching.

I thought Fed was 4-6 in the TVC? And IMO the tvc hocking is very weak besides a very good Eastern and a decent Southern, much weaker than last year.

Lets face it - Fed had a down year this year but that is kind of expected every now and then giving that Fed was dominant in the TVC for the past 7 years.

GO LANCERS. BEAT BELPRE TOMORROW.

Last year Fed was 5-5 in the TVC tied for 3rd. And they play Belpre tomorrow if they win overall they will be .500.
