shljunkie we are on the same page, its nice to be on top. Even though we lost, it still feels good to know your team is one the best and is feared by many come tourney time. You have something when teams you might meet in the 2, and if you win 3, and 4 are coming to watch and scout this far away. Feels good to root for a team like the Indians

I don't know freethrow...I guess if this was a forum where we were discussing the academic team or the spelling bee championships....maybe...but really how big of a deal is it to misspell a word or two......really has nothing to do with good basketball talk.

At least Peebles got the admission price from them. I recall a game a couple of years ago at the convo where many NA fans were in the stands rooting for Peebles to win.

Just shows what a sorry ass bunch of losers they are. They have a down year so they also want to see Peebles lose. We will see who is cheering tomorrow night.

Ridiculous statement and low class. You are basing your opinion of an entire fanbase on the actions of a minority who were at that game. Far more were not at the game and could have cared less who won or lost it. Peebles had a few fans at last years Portsmouth/North Adams sectional and some weren't pulling for NA. Does that mean the Peebles fanbase is a "sorry booty bunch of losers" (whatever the heck that means) as well? I don't think so.
As far as tomorrow night, Peebles will probably win and we will all applaud our teams for their efforts. That's what adults do.

Sorry, should be sorry bunch of losers. Yes the fans last night were exactly that. Not meaning to bash all fans but I hope those who were cheering last night get a great taste of defeat tomorrow

I am a NA fan through and through due to some circumstances that we will not discuss here, but I have always respected and cared about the Peebles players. Happy for THEM (can't say I am happy for SOME (not all) older members of the Tribe nation, but again that is another story) that they have had a great year! The kids are the ones I have always cared about and am proud of!

BUT I will be rooting for NA tomorrow night. I know it is going to be extremely difficult for NA to pull out a win tomorrow night but it should be a fun game with a HUGE crowd!!! Good Luck to Both Teams, BUT GO DEVILS!!!!!!

After Peebles was put out last season I was rooting for NA at every level. It was not a Peebles/NA thing but more of the devils representing the SHL and our general area.

Who cares what fan is cheering for what team? It's not a big deal at all. The game is for the players not the fans. Should North Adams really want their number one rival to have a perfect season? I'm a huge Bengals fan and I can't say I have ever cheered for the Browns or any team in the AFC North for that matter. Cheer for who ever you want to cheer for, it's not my place to tell you who to cheer for.

Do Red Sox fans root for the Yankees in the World Series because they represent the American League? What's the difference here?

lol j/k...we're talking about teenagers here, not pro athletes. Big difference.

Exactly. With that being said, I hope Peebles ends NA's convo streak tommorow night.

Last night's game was against two Adams County teams that both are SHL teams. I am sure that there were people there from North Adams that had personal connections to Manchester and their players.(relatives,co-workers, friends, etc) So why is it so bad if NA fans were pleased about the Manchester victory?

Glad to know that you are there to give guidance to folks on who they can and can't cheer for. Here's a newsflash for you, NA fans have tasted defeat twice this year at the hands of Peebles as well as mulitple times against others. The sun still rose the next day and we still went to the next game. If North Adams loses tomorrow night the fans will go home get some rest and return to Waverly the next day to support the girls team.

stephen,
Please don't take it out on the boys. These boys didn't need to be humbled, they weren't full of themselves, feeling like they were unbeatable...just the opposite, they fought through close nail-biting games getting a win in some cases in the last few seconds of the game...nothing was taken for granted. They fought hard for all of their wins. As a member of the Peebles fan base I can tell you that we are just excited for our team and the revival of our community following of this great bunch of kids. NA has had a long run and you know as well as I do that your fans are just as loyal and loud as we are when it comes to your team. Its not vanity...its PRIDE!!! So we are just enjoying it! We aren't claiming to be the best, we are just saying, wow look what these young men have accomplished!! SHL champs...ranked 7th in the state.... It feels good :-D

Good luck to all SHL teams...may the Indians have a deep tourney run!!!!

And it should feel good. Peebles is having a great season and their players, coaches, and fans should be proud. It's high school basketball and it's extemely tough to win them all. There's not a team in the SHL that wouldn't gladly trade their record for the one Peebles has achieved.

Wasn't taking anything out on the boys whatsoever. As I have said before I know about every one of the players and have played with them numerous times. I don't want to get into it but I meant that its good to see Peebles get humbled. Not the players. The fans. I don't want to go into detail and start a shouting match. The things people post and say are ridiculous. Good luck to Peebles in the tournament. If they beat NA Friday, I hope they make a deep run. I just can't stand some of the things I see and hear.
