PEEBLES VS. VALLEY
Re: PEEBLES VS. VALLEY
I have to support the SOC in this one, but if they don't show up and play 4 solid quarters, they could find themselves on the outside looking in.
Peebles has been in many close games and had to come from behind in several of their games. They have shown that they know how to win games this year. If Peebles gets hot hot from beyond the arc, they can play with anyone. Seaman is the leader of this group, but Justice is the most dangerous shooter.
Valley is coming into this game with some momentum after scratching and clawing the win over Portsmouth. They to have some good shooters and can light it up from beyond the three point line. I honestly think that Yates is the glue to this Valley team and they go as he goes.
This will be a slobber knocker and which ever team commits the fewest turnovers will win this game. This will not be blow out either way.
Good Luck Valley....represent the SOC!

I'm not quite sure what schedule would make for a terrific one??? Its high school sports and anyone can say "Peebles didn't play anyone". Well they play roughly the same schools that "EVERY" other school in this area plays and each and every year the SHL is pretty competitive. The Indians need not make any excuses for a so called "easy or hard" schedule. I hope the Indians can somehow find a way to come out on top of Valley since Peebles had a "Terrible Schedule". IMO it will no doubt be the team that stays out of foul trouble that will be victorious. Fire power means nothing if your sitting on the bench with 5 fouls!

If I'm not mistaken Peebles played both South Webster and Northwest in preseason scrimmage games and fared pretty well, as well as other teams out of this area. It really doesn't matter; schedules and records pretty much all go out the window in tourney time as we've seen time and time again.

i dont know why you are getting raddled with my OPINION...just because its different from yours doesnt make it wrong...and the schedual thing, a tough schedual gets teams ready for tourny time playing tough compitition maks teams better..thats why i think it is very important to have a tough schedual to get your team ready for tourny time...imo

Valley played without Robbie Dwyer against Portsmouth the other night, because of an ankle sprain suffered against Wheelersburg. Dwyer is a sophomore that is about 6'5" and he's extremely athletic. The 10 day lay off is big for Valley because of the amount of players that have been nursing injuries. Dwyer doesn't have the shooting touch that Coleman has, but he's very long and is a much better jumper.
This will be one tough ballgame, which is what you would expect at this stage of tournament play. I do know that this should be one heckuva game and I can't see either team winning by double digits. Utley's shooting from outside will need to be on again, and he needs to play the same game he played against Ptown on the defensive end of the floor. That was by far the best all around game I have seen him play. Yates will of course need to have his normal all around game, while Valley will need one of the three players (L. Keller, Coleman, Dwyer) to be a third scorer. All 3 have had games throughout the season that complimented Yates and Utley.

There is no reason why valley can't win this game. They have the tools. Very dangerous guard play and very aggresive and disruptive defense. Will make you make plays to beat them.

It looks like South Point... Valley defeated them by 2 and Peebles defeated them by 4

Apparently sports 101 decided to skip spelling 101. Sorry couldn't resist.

Re: PEEBLES VS. VALLEY
Peebles very talented and would have to be the favorites in this one. Valley, however, is a good team and will come to play. This game comes down to rebounding and second chance points. Valley's to big boys 6'4 and 6'5 will have to hit the boards and not allow Peeble second chance points. Justice, Seaman, Yates and Utley can all score. This game comes down to which role players step up during the game. I say Peebles in a close one, but Valley is very capable.

Good luck to the Valley Indians. This should be a good game. Peebles has the better record. Valley has played a tougher schedule IMHO. Seasman and Justice are excellent players. I'm pulling for Valley, but this one is to close to call on paper.
