Green @ SW 3/5 (reg season make up)
Green @ SW 3/5 (reg season make up)
Senior night for the Jeeps in this final regular season make up game...Let's hope for an injury free game and a win for our seniors in their final game on that court! Jeeps by 22....Thoughts/Predictions?
Re: Green @ SW 3/5 (reg season make up)
Jeeps will be heavy favorites, but they need to play 4 solid quarters tomorrow night.
Stay in tournament mode guys!

If you do to many loops you could get dizzy and fall down. Websters dv4 second sectional game at webster vs green. I pick the JEEPS by 14.

Jeeps put this one away in 2nd half. For some reason we dont like to turn it on until then.

By senior night, I mean last night on the home court for our seniors....
Re: Green @ SW 3/5 (reg season make up)
Green hasn't played in 10 day's I believe. I was told last week
that this game wasn't going to be made up.
I don't see Green winning this game but I don't
seeing them getting beat by 32 like swanker said.
Go Cat go get the upset.

Very surprised this game is being played. Green hasn't played in almost 2 weeks!! Have they been practicing? Do any of the kids play spring sports? If I was a spring sport coach, I would not be happy about this non-league game being played.
Webster had the make up game last night and lost a tough battle with the Oaks. Seniors get to play one more time on the floor, and I'd say the Jeeps by 15, but I question the motivation to play this game? Non-league game that really means nothing right now. I know there is always a risk in playing sports, but playing against a team out of tournaments, when you don't need to, is confusing to me.

Green played Rock Hill last Saturday so its not that long of a gap. Alot of the guys on the team play baseball but practice just recently started so its not really a hinderence. Props to So. Webster for playing but they clearly have a lot to risk by playing[ i.e. injury but players also get injured all of the time in practice]. Good luck to all involved.

How about Green having one varsity starter and two starting JVers not even showing up to play. Not very encouraging for the future[none were seniors]

It looks like the players have shown how they feel
about their coach. Who was the one stater.
Go luck to the Jeeps at the Convo.

I'm not attacking the kids that didn't show up. There may have been circumstances preventing them from attending. Just seemed odd.

Re: Green @ SW 3/5 (reg season make up)
The fact that 3 players didn't show says less about the coach than it does about the players and their parents. Once you commit to a team you are involved in all team functions , period . Leaving your team hanging speaks very heavily to the fact that you are more interested in your own personal gains than being a team player . I blame this on the parents for not making them see their commitment through .I know the coaches and promise you that effort during practice , where most playing time decisions are made , weighs heavy when they are making out the lineup on game day. All the complaining these parents did during the season over how their child was used is now rendered moot as the proof of their commitment was clear for all to see last night . Coaches can very rarely change attitude and especially so when the child is hearing from his parents that he is being mistreated . I don't mean to preach , but I feel the coaches are getting blamed for something entirely beyond their control . I for one hope the coaches return . While I don't agree with everything they are doing , I do know that they have the kids best interests at heart . Bobby Blanton will be a very good coach once he gets more experience and he is a fine person that has a lot to teach these kids that will help them in life , not just athletics . Just need to get the parents and negative community members out of the way so that we can move forward .

Dont blame Bobby Blanton! Green was competitive all year and that is a turn around from years past.
Simple solution: If the kids that didnt show up didnt have a great reason (hospital, family emergency, etc), then next year dont include them on the roster. Not a good way to end the season if kids didnt show up. Coach, take a stand and prove a point, this will not be tolerated. He did a good job in his first year. Keep improving into 2010-2011!

A good job by Coach Blanton this year. As far as this game is concerned don't speculate why or why not someone didn't play if you don't know the whole story. The only question i have is why this game was played.
